To all the other creators out there, I completely understand how frustrating trying to grow a channel can be. Especially when you see other channels that have a fraction of your content and they have thousands or subscribers and millions of views. At the time of this comment I only have 38 subscribers and I have uploaded 58 tracks. I have been regularly uploading for about 3 months and have been only seeing a new subscriber every couple of days. I guess slow motion is better than no motion! Keep working hard and best of luck to you all!

I have a KZbin channel that's based around a rap trio. So i wanted to ask if I should upload content other than music. And if I should what could that content be? And should we have a separate channel for each rapper when we drop solo or that's not necessary.

love the video! so good! especially like the idea of the woman that posts one video for views, and one video for herself. In that way it will be much more enjoyable for her to keep growing her KZbin channel too. One thing I might add though is that the quality of the video and the sound is crucial. I'm still not at the level I'd hoped to be at, but I'm hoping I'll get better too. But if the sound and video is good, or even the things that are in the shot suit your genre of music, people are much more likely to keep watching. I'm still working on doing this better, but yeah I thought I'd leave this comment. Have a nice day. Jane

"Artists" and "content creators" are 2 different things, imo. Its more difficult finding a niche market as an artist or a songwriter than it is for creators following the formula.
@victortaylor2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. What she says is all good advice definitely, but an artist is indeed different from a content creator. I understand that an artist can learn to be a content creator, but that doesn't 'suit' or 'gel' (in some cases) with the personality, brand, style, or the artistic integrity of the the art/artist. I don't think anyone has an answer to this problem - except maybe spending money to promote/advertise to garner some initial attention when growing a fan base...
@blackheartworldtv2 жыл бұрын
@@victortaylorI agree with you but i do also feel like as an artist you step out of the box into content creator the moment you put your art out into the world, because at that point, you don’t lose your artistic integrity but you do look for the art to resonate with people in a certain way, whereas complete artistry would really be satisfying to oneself regardless as it is a completed product that one created. when we put that out into the world, it becomes content for others, and when we do music videos, that also is content your lyrics typed out into an image (and the lyrics themselves) is content -- i think that all artists that want to do this as a career can make the content but the big hurdle also is that, as you mentioned, it is about translating that art into other forms and it being authentically representative of said artist, based on how people tend to receive information (from a tech and music business perspective)
@blackheartworldtv2 жыл бұрын
@@victortayloralso also , everything is also not “this or that”, versus it being “this and that” -- a lot of artists have trouble picking the right social media platforms in relation to their style of communicating ideas and audience relative to whatever one makes content about -- and even when you pick one, you still have to have and maintain a presence in other places, because different platforms do different things. it is always a long game, with changing rules, but there are some things, notably human nature concerning understanding, that do not change and have been true for a long time. there is also data and info like this video that is a lot more accessible now, and it becomes imperative to really learn fundamental info about running ads and analyzing metrics, for example, that will help to make the line from artist to fan easier to identify and replicate.

I'm thinking of showing my workflow for my songs and how I work with online platforms to get singers, performers, players, engineers etc to help me finish off my tracks and get them sounding professional. Is that a good idea?
@snoovian79514 жыл бұрын
Here are my theme ideas: .Parody/Cover Songs These would be similar to what Music with Blanks is doing, but with my own style. I figured I could make videos such as If Girl Scout from Beetlejuice was set in a Pandemic or videos that would add humour to the songs. I would rewrite the lyrics and potentially make my own backing tracks. Would the monetisation issue occur if I only used say the first half of a backing track? .Song and Dance Covers My original idea was to cover popular songs with singing and dancing to try ad something new and different to these songs that hasn’t been done before. I would make the videos engaging to watch as well with good editing and different camera angles. However, I am hoping to make money out of KZbin so the monetisation issue with covers are quite deterring. .Analysing music videos This is an idea I just had now but it would be cool if I could analyse songs lyrics, composition and music videos. I would try find comparisons between the music itself and lyrics and try to find inspiration behind them, along with the videos themselves. I would try to estimate why artists did certain things with there songs using research. The main fault with this is that I wouldn’t be doing much singing myself, however since I literally just came up with this concept it isn’t that defined and I could try find a way to put singing in there without it feeling forced. I’m also not sure if I would really enjoy this, it seems cool but I feel that I might become bored. I’m just a school kid, but I’m really hoping that I can build and grow a channel that will eventually be my full time job. Any advice or suggestions would be heavily appreciated! Thanks
