Hey so I'm confused about something... You rolled off around 9 dB at 300 hz with the e-channel and yet still maintained the body of the vocal when played with the rest of the mix. If I tried to do this, my vocal would get drowned out by the beat, even with compression afterwards. Is there a step I'm missing? Love your videos by the way, thank you for the free knowledge! 🙏

I think it does. You wouldn’t want to apply reverb or compression and then place an EQ. You’d want to EQ’d to get rid of frequencies you don’t want and then polish your sound from there.

Ian gon hold you, yo whole track and plugin set up gave me anxiety, why is it so much, I do a track fo tha hook and a track fo tha verses, adlibs if I got'em and if its a singin' song wit a rap verse I might give that a separate track, only time I deviate is when I have sumin' specific in mind fo a certain part that I don't want on tha whole thang, but clearly I need to be doin' WAAAY more if I wanna sound truly professional, I need more help than I thought
