I dont piss on people wearing fake watches but as I like the look of the Air-King but would never pay $6k for a watch I bought the Pagani Design homage (instead of a fake one on DhGate) that looks and feels really nice on the wrist. Not that too many "non-watch" people even knows what the Air-King is either...

Yeah I don’t get why people do that, I mean yeah sure you’re not supporting the brand and if you’re going around claiming there real and also scamming people that’s not right but a lot of people don’t have 5k to spend on a watch. I mean there’s also the option like you did by buying something that is similar in design but by a different brand, and yeah they don’t but I Lowkey like the air-kings

I forget about the DJ specifically, but I know some models do have a clasp that functions like yours. not judging, I think youd be much happier saving for a bit and getting a mid 2000s DJ for 5-6k and an op for 6.something k.

@@dustyyog it looks like you have a lot of replicas though :p but you look young, so it would be weird if you had 5k laying around, but over time you could save for one. (reps are good for letting you figure out what you like and don't like, that's how I learned I don't like the milguass and that the vintage dj is just a little to small for my preference) again, not judging, I was fairly into replicas in my 20s, but now i'd say my most worn watch is my skx.

"Replica" (aka fakes) promotion... 🥱Everybody that knows a tiny bit about Rolex or fine watches in general sees that it's fake on the first glance, it just doesn't look right straight at first sight, and don't even get me started on the box and papers. What do you achieve by wearing that junk except lying to yourself and the people around you by having a non-genuine "Rolex" text on your wrist? At least you claim to tell people that they're fake, safes you from these awkward situations where people try to make up fake stories when everybody already knows they are wearing a fake watch. Just save up for the real deal or get a cheaper alternative that doesn't involve supporting fake-manufacturers in China. Sorry for sounding a little rough, I just don't get why people support the fake industry so much, there are plenty of alternatives out there that don't say "Rolex" on the dial, so I just don't think the "I just like the looks of it" argument is enough to justify supporting the industry that's working hand in hand with scammers and the likes.

I understand where you’re coming from and honestly a lot of people have thought it was real but it’s not and I’ll let them know. You’re right it’s probably not a good idea to really support this but at the same time it’s just cool to see a “Rolex” for real and I see it as motivation. I don’t want people to get scammed so at least if you see this it could save you the trouble of that, I’d rather someone spend a hundred buck knowing they got a fake than getting scammed for a “good deal” on a fake Rolex that someone is claiming to be real

I have actually bought a fake completely unknowingly, I was buying a bundle of preowned watches such as tag, omega a few others, all with the correct documents and the main thing that attracted me was a Rolex date just 36mm, the card, paperwork everything was authentic (I should note all other watches were 100% genuine I had them checked 3 times by three different people all with about 25-40 years experience in the industry of being a watch expert and dealing them when I got the bundle) now when the Rolex got checked over before I sent it off to be Triple checked and serviced, I done some checks using my knowledge and everything looked good but this is obviously why a second opinion is always welcome, so to me the watch looked fine I knew the box was authentic so was the actual watch card, and the paperwork while a replacement was still an authentic replacement and looking up the signature on the paperwork (done in ink) came back to a Rolex technician who had obviously serviced the watch there was also in the history that stated paperwork had been replaced due to being water damaged later came to find out the original owner of the watch used to keep his watches papers in a safe in his garage which got flooded during a storm,anyway not important, back to the watch so it got sent off and everything I mentioned being authentic was authentic it passed all three checks the only thing that didn’t was the watch, the serial number on the watches re haute (the inner bezel) didn’t match the card or the paperwork, but the serial number on the case (inbetween the strap lugs) did two serial numbers on one watch is sketchy, the three experts came to the conclusion that the watch was a fake the case had been “modified” and the serial number had been changed to match the papers and the card but they forgot to do the inner bezel most probably because this would be a difficult task, but that wasn’t the only red flag the other major red flag was the movement, while looking like a genuine movement it had a adjustment lever something from my knowledge a genuine Rolex doesn’t have, the movement was also not as well made as a genuine should be and the movement also was missing the Rolex branding (which if authentic it should have), so after three checks it was determined the watch was fake, did we destroy the watch no I mean legally we should have but I wore that watch with pride, I don’t know why the only modification made to the watch was changed the dial it no longer said Rolex, the strap however did, so people did ask if it was one to which i said no it’s a custom using parts from various watches including a Rolex strap and clasp, but again I wore this watch with pride, because truthfully it had character it began life trying to be something it wasn’t,so I decided rather than destroy it I’d take the opportunity and make it my own, so I did, sadly I lost that watch on a night out when the strap broke, but that watch was probably the best purchase I ever made, because in the five years I had ownership of it it hadn’t been serviced once and it was still keeping perfect time infact in five years it was still gaining a second per day 😂
