Yes yes this is right. Once he knows you got standards you not willing to bend they measure upto it. It's really about how much shit you're willing to slide lol. The only problem I have with what he said is that no guy has ever directly said they don't want a relationship to a girl who wants more than just sex, they always give indirect answers like "it could lead there" "eventually" or "let's just see where it goes". My point is most guys beat around the bush knowing that it will never become a relationship and knowing the girl will leave when he states that. so girls stick around because they hold out hope. I'd like to see a video explaining how to react to those types of neutral comments from men because sometimes they truly mean it and you can end up in a relationship with that guy and other times it's a player telling you enough to keep you interested.

Thank you for the video Elliott. I think self-analysis is critical. Also, guys can sense or see when a woman is not fulfilled or not pursuing something she loves. And is looking to him to make her happy. Fill a void in some cases. Maybe that's the pressure guys pick up on. I mention this because I've felt it from guys who were in such a rush to be in a committed relationship and I've done the same to other guys that I really really liked. Yep, you've gotta be firm and clear with what you want. Unfortunately, I let it all be about him and his crap for too long. I thought things were great, we hardly ever fought, had a great time. He didn't see it that way. He had his cake and icing too and wanted it to go on and on and on. After 5 years, my shock that we weren't on the same page. So I would say after a year at the most lay it on the line so that he doesn't start to take you for granted. That's what happened in my situation. I thought because we didn't fight that everything was so great; no. He was avoiding things, and I unknowingly let this go on for 5 years. Ummm what if you've been in limbo for like 2 years?? I mean the attraction and chemistry is 100% still there, but I'm tired of being in the dark. Are you considered a couple? Do you want a monogamous relationship or marriage with this man? I mean after 2 years I think you could legitimately ask him where does he see himself in 2 years personally and professionally. If he leaves you out of the 2 year plan then I guess you have your answer.

Better that you know now than waiting another 6 months. It will be hard if you break up but you will survive and maybe you will find someone who doesn't keep you in the dark about what he feels. If a man doesn't discuss marriage by the end of year 1 it would be odd.

I’m facing the same exact thing, except for me it’s not been 2 years but 7 months. I’m going to ask him “where is this going?” I say “have the talk”. If it scares them away then they aren’t right for you to begin with.

That is true. i think it needs some break up experience to get used to recovering after. I didn't date a lot before my marriage so it fell apart I fell apart plus my mom died at the same time. I have to go into dating with the understanding that I can't take breaking up as personal . Yes it is a rejection of sorts in some cases but for the best if as a couple we aren't on the same page.
