How to Get A Rugby Player’s Physique: Part 1 - THE SHOULDERS!
Welcome to this new series where I’ll be breaking down some key exercises and ideas around building a “rugby physique”. This channel is dedicated to rugby training and S&C, so be sure to check out all my videos and get to work - it won’t happen overnight!!!
The Push Press features in a lot of my videos - because (as I mention in the video) it ticks a lot of boxes. It’s a VERTICAL pushing pattern of course, not horizontal. But I’m sure you figured that out/ spotted that.

Of course, the push press is a great vertical pressing option (not horizontal, obviously). Definitely should be a staple in your programme year round unless you’re lacking the ROM in the shoulder joint.
