I followed all these pieces of advice before I bumped into this video. This is the only video on KZbin that is 100 % accurate, and probably the best advice on the internet. I was in monk mode for years ( I even called it monk mode too) while everyone thought I had lost my mind. I started up 2 businesses, traveled the world, and I live in Ibiza. This video is a real masterpiece.

Thank you for the inspiring words! I found my purpose with 15 and lived my dream and thrived for 20 years of my life. Lost a direction with 35 due to unforeseen life circumstances. Last decade has been filled with ups and downs. Now, mid 40's working on creating a new purpose again for me. Life is not a linear. Even if you find your purpose quite early on doesn't mean you'll feel the same way about it later in life. It's important to stay curious, flexible and adaptable in order to grow.

Having goals is fine. But instead of thinking about how to get ahead of others, instead, approach goals from a place of gratitude, compassion, and walk a life in service of grace and awareness. Find stillness. Give thanks. Listen to emptiness and speak the truth. Fight for the weak. Love above all else. Then the answers will come.

I like the honesty of saying 4h of deep work. One big problem i had is having the unrealistic goal of 8h of work on my two professions (music and photography) every day and expect full focus as when you work for someone else. And too much pressure (created by myself for having too high expectations) evolves to anxiety, which destroys even more the focus.

I am feeling so lost right now.. I've been through a lot this past year. Good and bad. I have accomplished many things and lost as much. I've felt complete freedom and happiness - like I am the king of the fucking world. And I've also felt miserable, worthless, and resentful - like a dog chained to its house with no one around to care for it. These days I feel like the second. But I've finally noticed something and I am taking steps in that direction.. I've noticed that I am responsible for my chain! It's my choice to be a slave of my misfortunes. It's my choice if I let the chaos and my daemons rule me and keep me still. The quote you mentioned at the start of the video, instantly put a tear in my eye. Because deep down I know that I am the one who is terrified of breaking this fucking chain. I don't know if anyone will read this comment, and I don't care.. This comment is a pledge to myself! I want to come back to this video a year from now and be proud of myself. I may still be a long way from success, but I want to be able to see that I am moving away from my chain and finally taking action. As Socrates once said, I want to see myself so desperate for change, development, and focused on finding and re-inventing myself, as a man drowning underwater for a breath is. Thank you for this video.

What an unbelievable time to see this video. I'm in deciding on a time for a career break period nowadays and I want to go on my career to being a data scientist after 5 months. I started to learn Python and SQL but they all are foreign things to me. Also, I participate in a Bootcamp. I work 8 am to 6 pm as a mechanical engineer then go home, have dinner, and what time is it? 8 PM what a wonderful. Try to exercise, read books, study English (watching or shadowing), and python. Go to bed at 1 am. Sleep only 5 hours and etc. I almost was going to fall into depression until watching this video. But now, keep pedaling. Thanks, Stefan :)
