So here's some post-game locations for evolution items: Protector - Route 228 (Top of the route) Razor Fang - Battle Park (The area where the battle tower is, at the bottom left among the bushes) Reaper Cloth - Route 229 (Behind a cut tree in the middle of the route) Upgrade - Eterna City (Talk to Prof Oak in bottom left house after getting the National Dex and meeting him at Ramanas Park) Dubious Disc - Route 225 (Surf across a large lake at the top of a hill in the middle of the route)

If you're playing Brilliant Diamond, where Moon Stones are very rare both pre- and post-nat dex, or otherwise prefer the thief method to mining, Cleffa and Clefairy in Mt. Coronet can carry Moon Stones for thieving. In the morning, go for Cleffa in the ground floor areas for a 25% encounter rate, and at other times go for Clefairy in the other floors for a 10% encounter rate.

there's actually a razor fang in the small field with all the bushes right before you go into the battle tower, its in the very bottom left corner of it in a pokeball! just got it today, hope this helps anyone who doesnt want to spend 5 bp for one.

Also: If you want the Metal coat and are around the 7th gym, in some of the rooms in the underground Bronzor starts to Spawn, they are normal spawns (not rare like Magnemite) so you can get multiple per room, and they too have a chance to have Metal Coat equipped. Learned it the hard way after already having mine 🤡

For the metal coat, you should go after Bronzor instead of Magnemite. They are a lot more common than Magnemite in the underground, especially in ice caves.

Some of the items in the battle tower are actually found in the wild as well. For example, the Protector (Rhyperior item) is found on route 228.

I’ve gotten my metal coats off bonzor as they’re more common. For the oval stone it can be obtained from a vendor in the underground.

I played online in the underground and the counter reached 40 and I was able to get the sun stone, water stone and leaf stone almost immediately, so I’m guessing it helps immensely having 40 digletts

For the metal coat, I would recommend heading to Wayward Cave and leading the little girl out of the cave while trying to thief metal coats from Bronzor. Its infinite PP on Thief (from your double battle companion) and if you catch a Super Lucky Murkrow its a much faster method!

You can find the razor fang at the frontier in the hedge maze like thing. Upgrade can be given to the player by Oak in a house after meeting him in Ramanas. Dubious Disk is the route above the fight area and you surf over water to an item.

Back the day, I collected items in DP with a similar strategy. In the post-game area, you can find Frisk Banette, which can learn Thief. You can also pair that with a Butterfree/Nicada/Yanma with Compound Eyes. Compound Eyes increases the chances of encountering wild Pokemon holding items when the Pokemon is the first int he party, even if the Compound Eyes mon is fainted. So the strat was to have the Compound Eyes bug first and the Frisk/Thief Banette second. Intentionally let the bug faint and then starthunting items. It also helped if the Banette was high leveled and/or fast.

If people are having trouble finding it, I found an Oval Stone in the Lost Tower on the second floor, playing Brillant Diamond. I realize the chart Austin shows is Grand Underground specific but this is just in case anyone is stuck.

If memory serves there is a third dawn stone you can find in the grand underground. I don't remember exactly where but I believe it was in one of the ice themed caves from the area you enter by going through snowpoint city (either that or it was the one icy cave where celestic town is).

Banette in the post game has the Frisk ability and can learn thief via TM or Trick naturally at lvl 58. I don’t know if Absol would still be faster with the increased odds for the item tho

I wanted to share the fact that Bronzor also can carry metal coats, I've gotten like 5 of them whilst farming for an Elekid. In my personal opinion, I think Bronzor might have a higher chance to hold a metal coat than Magnemite, that could just be how my luck is though.

Question: Is there a way to access your Pokemon Storage inside gyms? It claims that you are unable to but I was able to access my boxes inside Veilstone Gym. Protector and reaper cloth are both available outside of what you have listed. Theres a protector on the ground on the post game island and reaper cloth im unsure where I got but I have one and havnt done giratina yet so that's also available elsewhere

I don't remember where I was, but I found a piece of reaper cloth as an item on the ground when I was berry hunting. I believe it was still post game, (maybe on the route that is right of the fight area) but I know i was moving on a horizontal route and it was behind an HM gate, maybe cut?

I believe the reason that the oval stone is listed as an item in the underground but not available there is because you can sell it to certain hikers in the grand underground.

You can sell everything you pull from the digging to miners. Elemental stones, plates, fossils everything. You can get oval stone from digging (I have myself) so it should have a rarity like everything else there but I'm guessing its hard to pinpoint info as it is extremely rare like I have gotten 1 only from hours of digging

@austinjohnplays you can get a dusk stone earlier if you enter the grand underground from the south most tile of the beach between veilstone and pastoria, as it puts you in the bottom underground section

I carry compoundeyes ability pokemon when farming items on wild pokemon. The overwold effect is (and i quote from serebii ability dex) "if the Pokémon is in the lead spot, chance of encountering a wild Pokémon holding an item increases". Add this with a thief capable pokemon and you're set for farming a lot better than frisk ability. I farmed a lot of electirizer and magmarizer with compoundeyes ability plus thief on pokemon shield.
