It still works! I've been in this game for more hours (hundreds) than I' like to admit... but that was the one thing that still eluded me. Followed your vid and got the S-Class with 4 square supercharging on the 3rd try!! Much appreciated! (By the way... each to their own... but I found real success in dreadnought fights by destroying the engines first, then knocking out the two trenches of shield orbs and rods... and they surrender every time. Don't even have to touch their guns... except for self-defense.. or anger management issues.)

For those who are wondering, if it isn't spawning after awhile or you are only getting normal freighter fights, you need to own a freighter first before it will switch over to pirate. Also the system doesn't have to be a pirate controlled system, they will show in any system with a high enough conflict rating(3+). Lastly I don't think they are timed in the same way normal freighter encounters are, as I've had them appear sooner then 3h apart.

I don't understand something. I did everything as in your video. 6 attempts, all the turrets were destroyed/only the large ones, the civilian ship survived/destroyed. But they still won’t give up; they even tried to destroy corvettes. What could be the problem, has anyone encountered this?

don't worry. you are doing it right. remember C class is 85% showing. so it's normal to see many c class. but s class 5% . so you should see one pretty soon. just keep do it . i believe in you

hey there. that happen to 1% of people sometimes somehow . there 3 things u need to have to trigger the mission in right system . atlas path ( finish the story ) get settlement ( finish trace of metal mission ) visit 1 sentinel ship camp . finish those and it should trigger right away. also please make sure ur combat setting on good too.

this is so easy to get step one go to a red star zone step 2 jump a total of 4 times step 3 on the 4th jump go right to the station get out of your ship so it save get right back in step 4 leave station n jump 1 time now i have found it that if u make that 5th jump a Gek race i can promise you the freighter will spawn now once it spawn TAKE YOUR TIME i know alot of u might be doing this your 1st time but just go right to the engines take ALL those out then take ALL BIG CANNONS OUT THATS SHOOTING RED BEAM once you do that its done you dont have to worry about taking out the pirate ships ezzz now go in n if you dont like the class just hit start n load your last save n bam do it over the same way u did when u left n jump 1 time to a gek race HAVE FUN HOPE TO BUMP INTO ONE OF YOU SEE YA

Got my S class freighter by luck when popping into a new system. I no longer try to get freighter S modules to install as there are only so many good ones and then they are exactly the same stats ! Will never fill up all the open slots !!

I made a mistake and played the experimental version. My save became experimental and I lost it and I can't revert it. I'm desperate because my save is from 2017 and has about 500 hours. I've already looked at the files on Steam Cloud and the folder structure is the same as the appdata folder. Detail, I didn't gain anything from the expedition, as I didn't finish it.

After destroying the big anti-freighter turrets and claiming the pirate freighter as your own, will your newly claimed pirate freighter regain their anti-freighter turrets when you summon it in? I hope so. They would be useful for destoying enemy and/or sentinel freighters.

After using the portal to get to the system, I warped to an adjacent system and saved a restore point on the station. The next jump is a pirate battle, so I reloaded the restore point and warped back to the Pirate Controlled system and I get the Pirate Freighter battle. So far its only be C class after 5 tries, do I need to warp 5 times to other systems before I can even get an S Class or do I just need to keep doing the fight until S class comes up? Also, when is the new Expedition active? Thank You

Hero, Thank you for the update/info. I have a S-Class Venerator (largest version), fully upgrades with all modules. Its a pain to move all the upgrades BEFORE swapping with a new Freighter, as the installed upgrades/modules can't be transferred like cargo when swapping. So my question is, does the S class Pirate Freighter have actual working anti-freighter beams and other weapons? or it becomes a useless laser show when you own it, like the owned Capital Freighter guns (which do almost zero damage to enemy ships). If its purely cosmetic, I might as well stick to my existing S-Class Venerator, otherwise it would be worth the swap. Thank you.

hey there. there 3 things u need to have to trigger the mission in right system . atlas path ( finish the story ) get settlement ( finish trace of metal mission ) visit 1 sentinel ship camp . finish those and it should trigger right away. also please make sure ur combat setting on good too.

Look I found my own S-Class freighter easier I went to the Galaxy map I'm on PS4 I put it on free roam and I'll put it on conflict and I'll just kept jumping from Pirate to Pirate conflicts and I change my b-class into a S-Class in an hour

You need to get normal freighter before getting this one. And you need to finish story mission to be able to trigger pirate one

Guys first destroy the Hyperdrive this will unable the ship to escape right from the beginning and you can relax and destroy the Laser Canons, so you don‘t have to worrie about the 35 Seconds Countdown to destroy the Hyperdrive at the End ❤

@@hero2u1 I have the complete ship for the battle, I've played for more than 30 hours this week alone... I made 5 jumps (up to about 10) and I couldn't either... the battles are activated, I think the problem is that I don't I don't even have a personal freighter... I think that might be it

@@hero2u1 I've warped about 20 times and no luck. Not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong but definitely going to keep trying. I have over 1000 hours in this save, I've been playing for about 3 hours today. Hopefully I can trigger the even soon

@@hero2u1Doesn't work for me too, I guess. Spawning the battle and repeating works fine. But I tried it now ~20 times and it was always a C class. Only the slots amount and price was always different. But I didn't saw any other class. Am I just unlucky or did I do something wrong? EDIT: Nvm, it works. Got one A class now. Others were all C class. I guess Im very unlucky. EDIT2: I got a another A class, a lot of C class and finally a S class! :)
