This game can break a lot, especially when your updating muOS. I recommend people should make use of the archive manager and make a backup of the files so you can restore Celeste if or when it breaks.

Nice tutorial! I haven't gotten it to not freeze on the loading screen before the title though (like you mentioned at 4:57). Any tips for troubleshooting this?

I think redownloading the game and resetting up the files the game worked for me.

I just added this to my rg35xxsp and its awesome, i also found out that from the main menu you can scroll down and make it stretch to a 4 by 3 aspect ratio, which also fixes the mountain animation glitches, not completely tho. :|

You also don't have to install games like Owlboy or Timespinner because in the Options menu for Portmaster at the bottom. There's an option to install every runtime file for Portmaster, you wont have to install other games but you don't have to do this.

To fix graphical glitches in the menu just change the resolution to Low or Normal and it will go away

Thanks for the tips! That definitely sounds like a better solution than arbitrarily installing those other games, and I'm glad to know there's a way to get rid of those graphical errors and such.

I found your video while researching the different ways people are installing Celeste for my own video about this. But I noticed you don't mention the FMOD files. Are those already included in the download you provide? If so, you may want to be careful with that, as I'm pretty sure those files are not supposed to be distributed, I think it might even say that in the guide you linked to. It would be so much easier if we could share these files, so please let me know if you have found anything new about the legality of sharing these fmod lib files. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for bringing this to my attention. My download link does currently include the FMOD files, when reading through the guide I didn't see any warning of distributing the FMOD files, and I figured it would streamline the process to combine all non-game files. Looking on their website, it seems like you are not allowed to distribute the full api, but you are allowed to distribute individual binaries (qa.fmod.com/t/fmod-github-procedure/16799). Do you happen to know if these files contain the entire API? If they are just a part of it could be fine to share them. Not totally sure about that though.

Is there any reason this would not work if I used a Mac to download/transfer files vs a PC?

I don't have a Mac so I can't say for sure, but make sure that you're downloading/transferring the Linux version of Celeste instead of the Mac version. Additionally, I know Macs can create weird hidden system files on SD cards, and I've heard this can cause issues with switch sd cards. However, this seems less likely than using wrong version of Celeste

Yeah sorry about that, I ended up being too aggressive with the noise reduction, which caused the sound to be a bit rough. It should be fixed in the future though.

Will this port work on the stock OS?

I couldn't get it to work on stock OS because I could not figure out how to install the mono file that comes with Owlboy. If you can figure out a way to do this, it would probably work.

I have spent the afternoon trying to install Celeste following this video and I’ve been unsuccessful. I get to the first time setup screen and I get a message saying: terminate called after throwing an instance of ‘st What (): std : : bad_alloc ../repack.src. line 18: 2704 Aborted Repacking textures… And then it crashes. If anyone knows what’s going on, let me know
