If you got a mini fro or shorter throw on a bonnet when you sleep and in the morning you should be fine. Lift roots with a pick a bit to fix spots where you rested your head. If you got longer hair do the same, but part your hair into four sections and tie it off with bands before putting on the bonnet. Lightly mist your hair and shake it to fix the bed head. If you have frizz get gel and finger coil to upkeep. Should last like a week if you do it right.

I started my curl/coil journey shorter then this with a brush like with a inch or 2 spinning it in a circular motion one direction around my whole head then when it got like to that boys height maybe even shorter than that like 2 inches off I would use my fingers as if u were scratching yah scalp spinning it in the same direction just as when I used my brush ofc always applying product (shea butter, curl creme, and oil )and working with the hair damp, and when I would have wash day or take a shower in general (getting the hair wet) I would use my fingers again like how I mentioned before, eventually some of my coil was starting to form like springlocs in which it still look like coils but u couldn’t just easily decide oh imma pick out my hair today but I fell in love with how look

Changing the the structure of your hair is going from 4c to 4a, or going from curly to straight. Moreover, an afro, or a mini afro is curly.
