deep conditioning your hair once a week helps a lot, keep it moisturized but don’t overuse products, get that bonnet for when you go to sleep. keep your hands out your head. oils like castor oil and wild hair growth are elite, protective styles but don’t spam them. leave them in for a while. he cooked with saying your hair is like a plant. treat it as such 👌🏾

about the leave-in conditioner, I learnt ts depends on the porosity of y'all hair most of the time. yk how leave-ins are either in a long skinny bottle or a fat tub type of container? The skinny bottle leave-ins work better for low-porosity hair because it's more lightweight and isn't too heavy on your hair. Think of it like over-watering a plant, it just messes with your hair. If your hair is high-porosity, leave-ins in fat tub containers work better for your hair cause your hair can actually fully absorb the heavy content and use it to strengthen/restore/repair/moisturize itself. Long ahh explanation but basically get long skinny bottle type leave-ins if your hair is low-porosity cause it helps more than the fat-tub ones. Good examples are Olive Miracle and Shea Moisture. For high porosity hair get a leave-in that's in a fat tub, Shea Moisture, As I Am, and Camille Rose are good. do your own research too. hope this helps.

@@6oken how I do that?
@Ok_Igwe3 ай бұрын
@@17madeitwhat you wanna do is first get a bonnet instead of a durag if you dont already and that will reduce the flatness. Then when you wake up wet your hair and sort of scrunch and lift it up with your hands and the water should help give it more volume and get it closer to where you would be with picking. So do that first and then use the pick soley at your roots to lift up your hair but dont pull it all the way through unless its wash/cowash day and you want to fully detangle with wet hair.

Personally I hadn't had that specific problem but when I was growing out my sides from a high top fade I was just oiling and keeping it moisturized and when it was finally long enough to be put into basic cornrows with the rest of my hair I started putting them all together and doing the same old until it started growing longer and longer.
@bazgalaxy40303 ай бұрын
However one thing I will note that he didn't say in the vid is trimming your hair. I recommend going to a stylist with your same ethnicity (not a necessity but from what ive encountered they know how to trim hair better than people with way different hair textures) trimming your hair helps your hair grow faster and better so maybe try that out.

Here are the key tips for improving hair growth based on the video: 1. Avoid Wearing Hoodies Constantly Wearing a hoodie all day compresses your hair, preventing it from breathing. Like plants need sunlight, hair needs exposure to air. So, let your hair breathe to support growth. 2. Stop Overusing Sponges and Picks Sponging or picking your hair daily can cause breakage and brittleness. Instead, let your hair do its thing naturally without constant manipulation. 3. Improve Your Diet Hair health is linked to diet. Incorporate hair-nourishing foods like eggs, avocado, spinach, berries, salmon, and nuts. Avoid fast food and sugary drinks, which don’t support hair health. 4. Moisturize Regularly For those with type 4 hair, regular moisturizing is essential to prevent dryness and breakage. Use a good leave-in conditioner and oil your scalp a few times a week to keep hair hydrated. 5. Use Protective Styles Styles like braids, cornrows, and twists can protect hair by reducing manipulation and exposure to the elements. Protective styles also make it easier to access and oil the scalp. 6. Sleep with Silk Protection Sleep on a silk pillowcase or wear a silk bonnet or do-rag to minimize friction, which can lead to breakage. This also helps maintain moisture in the hair and supports growth, especially for the sides.

try coconut type of hair conditioner i used a brand called Design Essentials ngl that shit helped, i went from buzz cut to a full on afro within 6 months so for my African brothers try coconut or kukui in the mix and wash your hair like once a week with SOAP and after MOSTURIZE your hair dont over use products, and for the sides of your hair you just gotta fr stretch your hair DAILY what i mean by stretch is pull the sides lightly that shit finna help your sides out like crazy. also if you want to blow dry your hair do it like once a month because if you blow dry your hair you killing the pores with causes your hair to lay flat.

For protective styles for Africans and Caribbeans blow dry your hair before getting protective styles that way it lasts longer and looks better to have your hair look longer and I had to learn that because when I got it first time it didn’t look correct after 5 months. Go to a hair braid and twister they’ll blow dry your hair and do it correct
