Just to add on but if you sell the ingots at the blacksmith shop, she buys them for %150 for the price. So the iron ingots sell for $600 each. Since you need 3 ingots for one sheet, it's better to sell in the shop for a better profit in ingots. 1 sheet is 1600, 3 ingots sold in the shop is 1800. (she doesn't buy the sheets BTW)

This may be considered an exploit but you can buy seeds from the vendor for 10g then go and sell them to the plant girls for 15g

When you finish the main quest, there is a certain crafting recipe that you get from the wizard that trivializes money. Ores and ingots are the way to go before the endgame tho.

I haven't sold a single ore/ingot and I am always in need of ingots, they are never enough to biuld anything. I have so far found/cleared only 3 mines tho, so maybe i am just unlucky

honestly early game the best is to just go ut and fight spirits. Then turn in your spirirt research. Once you have the spirit farm load up on psychic spirits. they drop the rainbow drop which you can collect passively, is not needed for any temples just some caldron recipes and can be sold to zed for huge profits. I tired making passive farms with cattails and bolt plants in spring, but by the money from Zed spirit research was way better and faster to obtain.

Honestly the bigger bottleneck I face is wood. Simply because its used for almost everything while also not having any passive form of gaining it no matter how slow or having it coincide with other things. You have to go out of your way to spend a whole day farming for wood. On the other hand exploring mines gets you stone, ores, coal, treasure, occasional spirits, etc. You get gold from doing almost anything in the game so its not too bad, especially if you're exploring and fighting and taming spirits because they give such good income by turning in spirit research and the poop also sells for quite a hefty sum
