The difference in roaming ability between Banshee and Phantom. It's just that the Banshee doesn't leave EMF2 when leaving its location and going after the target. Only the Phantom that leaves EMF2 WHERE IT LEFT when using the roaming ability on the person.

1:03:54 I said it a couple of times, but the *Banshee DOTS* is painfully obvious, if you are looking for it, because it will almost always go to your direction. Use *DOTS and Motion Sensors for Banshees.* It will walk to its target and sometimes you can see it on DOTS. It even makes ghost events more frequently near its target because of that. We tested it and one of my friends (who was the target) got every single ghost event and only he saw the Motion Sensor activate. Forget that paramic crap.

Been playing since old phasmo and i didn't even know the emf chart worked differently back then! Also even as a decently experienced player,I still was able to learn something from this video! I usually use the chart due to having ghosts that don't do shit at times,and don't want to give any evidence.

interesting note about twinteraction. sometimes both interactions will generate the same activity level on the board, for example they'll both give 1s or 2s. since the graph goes up by the same number twice over 2 seconds, you won't see a change in slope, but there won't be a plateau either. so it might look like a normal 2 spike or 4 spike. but you can distinguish them because the slope will be half of what the slope *should* be for a 2 spike or a 4 spike. since you get an increase of 2 or 4 over the span of 2 seconds instead of 1 second

I thought I knew how the activity chart worked but I still learned a bunch - thank you! Also, random sound sensor thing I’ve noticed - it picks up the mirror use sound even if the mirror isn’t being used. I assume it’s a bug but it’s hella spooky.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, an EMF 5 interaction, which would normally be a 4 spike, could be either a 3 or a 5 spike as well. And a ghost event always gives EMF 4, which is normally a 3 spike but can also be a 2 or 4 spike. Then if you see a 5 spike on the activity board it has to be EMF 5 right? Since a ghost event could only show up to a 4 spike? (Assuming its not multiple smaller spikes at the same time)

It seems so obvious now that I think about it but I always thought that the emf levels on the chart were a one to one in the sense that emf 1 would be at 1 on the chart. That's probably why I never got confused when using the chart for emf 5 since I only ever said it was 5 when it was actually at 5 on the chart. So that's definitely nice to know and good to learn

Short and easy rule that works 100% of the time. If the chart goes up or down by exactly 5 in one go with no breaks between points or slanted graph and it wasn't a ghost event or hunt, it's always EMF5.

I think picture/ painting drops are unique in that it is the only interaction that can give different EMF values (outside of EMF 5), being either EMF 2 or 3. Why are those interactions special? Who knows.

What about nightmare or custom difficulty that dont give all evidence, can we read emf5 on chart or with emf reader, for example a door touched and give emf4 (on emf reader) bcs it cant give emf5 or not show emf4 at all (except ghost event) ?

48:52 I was going to say sound sensor is perfect for the jinn ability. Especially if you’re playing on a hard difficulty and are between jinn and another ghost or so. You can camp in the van with an EMF on the breaker 😂 sound sensor is also great for ghost writing ✨ which does work and you can def hear EMF through it.

my first starting items every run are EMF to catch that potential 5 early and locate the ghost(I do the same with the finding the breaker/bone/cursed possession till i hear a noise) Photo camera just incase of an early ghost event to get the ghost photo out of the way, and a video camera, to check for orbs when i DO find the ghost as well as to just get a camera set up for when i get DOTS going.

Additional context with regards to EM5 using the activity chart for me is that it is safer to assume an EM5 evidence when it is frequently spiking (4 or 5) and there's no player in the room. Ghost events always gives an EM4 (which would look like an EM5 in the chart) but would require a player to be there so if you are playing in coop, you should keep it in mind. (Edit) oh he did mention it. mb i commented while still watching lol

Paramic can be turned on and thrown down. It will give the achievement of Para sound on its own. As long as it's on its listening...so turn it on ,throw it so it points some where and it can get the accident without you holding it

EMF reader, photo camera, flashlight. That's how I've gone into houses since 2020. After a year of not playing and a year of not playing before that small time of playing in between. Only thing that changed is now I used the dinky little lvl 1 stuff since the reset...for now. Ears and then checking which object of the correct sound type is the best way to find where the ghost is if you ask me.

Hi! Quick question not exactly related to the topic, but I'll ask anyway ;-) I don't know who was the author of the video I have watched a while ago (I assume it was Insym, but it might be Psycho as well), but I remember I have heard on that video there is one ghost that can be identified by it's steps because it's the only ghost that stops from time to time when hunting and it basically sounds like there's a little pauses in footsteps. Unfortunately I can't remember which ghost was it - can you help me out what ghost it's related to? Many thanks for an answer and keep up the good work! PS. This will involve a lot of work, but you could create a KZbin short focusing solely on the graph. One of the issues, when I recommend your videos to new players, is that they find them too lengthy. You could utilize the short format to provide a brief guide on the topic and pique their curiosity about the remaining content you elaborate on in the long format. Keep up the good work! 📹🎮🤩👍

4 questions. 1) about the reach of a ghosts interaction with items, does that also go upwards and downwards? Can they end up interacting with items on another floor just because of reach? 2) does ghost activity start from the moment of opening the door, wouldn't it make sense to move all items out of the van to the door before opening? 3) If the ghost does leave UV prints, will it always leave prints on the things or is there only a chance? Does stepping on salt always leave foot prints in case it can leave UV prints? 4) In case a ghost room is big and doors are far away, what can I do in case I need UV prints?

Thank god they will change de photo system. I was trying the Gold Apocalypse challenge and got everything, except the ghost photo because it became a 3 star interaction when the ghost was clearly there (not a phantom, by the way). I had no smudge sticks left to try to get the photo again and died.

1:20 Fun fact: during some ghost events I got the T3 EMF to show an EMF 1 reading. Never had that before and pretty sure it's not supposed to be there, but I've had that several times in the last week.... For those who don't get it: If there's no activity, the T3 EMF won't show ANY signal whatsoever. EMF 1 doesn't exist like that normally.

the sound sensor test is weird because me and my friends could hear the DOTS and spirit box in the truck through the sound sensor as well as anything else that made noise. as for the turning things off when not in your inventory, maybe they removed that ability because people were able to turn stuff on on VR players belts to get them killed?

I have just one question, in the beggining of this video, you have explained how the activity chart works, related with the real EMF inside. You said that the EMF 5, instead of showing a 4 (as in the past) it shows a 4, a 5 or a 3. Meaning that an EMF can be a 5,4 or 3 (yet 3 is no reliable). Another example, a ghost hunt, being an EMF 4. Instead of showing us an activity 3, it will show a 3 a 4 or a 2. So my question is, why do you say in 38:18 that a spike of 5 (in the activity chart) can be a ghost event? You even said that a spike of 5 is the higher range for a ghost event, which got me confused. Can you be so kind to explain? Thank you bud have a great day

TL:DW Your EMF meter will give you these readings: 1 - Baseline, no interaction 2 - interacts with object 3 - Throws object 4 - Manifestation 5 - Evidence The board shows one less than the EMF reader would pick up, with a +/- 1 modifier. That means the board displays these readings: 0 - Baseline, no interaction 0-2 - Interacts with objects 1-3- Throws object 2-4 - Manifestation 3-5 - Evidence

Edit: I went looking for the patch notes, but couldn't find them. Either I've misremembered the patch notes or it happened further back than I thought. The Banshee roam ability is meant to give EMF 2 somewhere. In the past it didn't give EMF but around the same time as they added Banshee ability count to the statistics, there was a minor patch that stated in the notes that the ability will now give EMF 2. Considering how often the Banshee uses its ability, I'm not sure I believe that it's working as intended. If it is, it definitely gives EMF at the start of the roam and it doesn't move with the Banshee. Even then, I feel like I would notice way more random EMF 2 readings in the ghost room while investigating Banshees.

It's pretty normal. Let's say you put the EMF in your pocket while it's on, IRL. It's still gonna be on if you get it out of your pocket. So the EMF ingame should be on too once you get it out of your inventory
