My addendum is that if a player is very serious, he should practice his defensive stance and moving laterally.

I love this but i do think you are discounting the effectiveness of simply putting in miles on a daily basis of simply running.

nah he fully explained that basketball requires you to be multidirectional and there is a lot of change of pace involved and simply running wont cut it as much as the replacements he showed

nah, the point is to always find the best use of your time, you can put the same stress on your body as doing a few miles but get more out of it by doing it with a ball in your hand and getting better at the same time, plus DAILY miles is way to much for a hooper if you are training the right way already
@trajohnson2640Ай бұрын
@@tjltraining my point is that ray Allen one of the most conditioned athletes who was always durable has a runners world article where he talks about running daily. I think the conditioning aspect to simply running is very effective, because while you can get in ok shape simply hooping getting actual conditioning work can’t be skipped.

Im going 3 times a week to the gym and 3 times directly training basketball with 2 rest days(on one day i do both) hows that plan?
@tjltrainingАй бұрын
That is solid, I would try to be getting at least 5-6 days a week of basketball, 3 days a week of lifting is solid. And stick with one full rest day per week
