How to get into 07 Pontiac G6 trunk. No key and no trunk release

Thx bro, this saved me 👊🏿👍🏿. I have '05 GT, the trunk button stopped working, & trunk key won't fit/turn. I ended up tying a piece of paracord to emergency release handle & brought it through the back seating. Just pull it & I'm in. It's my only way to open the trunk now. I was going to get locks smith to fix trunk key hole, but doubtful now.

He is talking about the two square levers top of screen, not wholes in middle of screen. Two off white color levers, you're looking at bottom back side of levers.

my button to open the trunk doesn’t work anymore when it did two days ago, and now my trunk won’t open. my key doesn’t open it either. i don’t know how to fold the seats down 😭

REMOVE BOTTOM SEAT CUSHION BY PULLING IT UP FROM THE FRONT, 2 BOLTS AT THE LOWER EDGE OF THE BACK PORTION , REMOVE THEM, THE BACK PANEL WILL THEN LIFT STRAIGHT UP, AS IT IS JUST HANGING ON 2 HOOKS, THEY ARE VERY TIGHT. I USED A LENGTH OF 2X4 LUMBER AND PLACED A BLOCK UNDER THE 2X4 AS A FULCRUM AND APPLIED PRESSURE AND THE SEAT BACK POPPED UP AND WAS FREE TO REMOVE. THERE IS A WHITE COLORED HANDLE ON THE INSIDE OF THE TRUCK LID DIRECTLY INFRONT OF THE LATCH, (WHERE A KEY CYLINDER WOULD NORMALLY BE, USE A FLASHLIGHT AND LOOK INTO THE TRUNK, YOU MAY HAVE TO MPUSH DOWN A INSULATION BLANKET THAT IS IN THE TRUCK, TO SEE IN THE TRUNK, YOU WILL HAVE TO THEN MAKE A WIRE WITH A HOOK ,TO REACH IN FROM THE BACK SEAT,HOOK THE EMERGENCY RELEASE HANDLE ON THE TRUNK LID AND GIVE IT A PULL, IT WILL RELEASE THE TRUNK LATCH.

@@jamesgreen2030 push the back of the lever. From the front of them (with the trunk open) you'd pull them. So since you're going from the back (through the back seat) you'd push the back of the lever and when you hear the click. You can just pull the seat down and that will give you access to the trunk then you can and pull the release lever to open the trunk

I was able to grab it at the top and pull it and it popped loose. However I had to replace the rivet behind one of the panels
