Can a paralegal have a shot at getting into the GSB?

Business schools, including top programs such as the GSB, are looking for impressive candidates with different experiences and backgrounds. There is not a job that would turn off an admissions committee simply because of the title of the position. As with any job, you will need to show that you are a true standout among other people at your level, and you must also demonstrate the attributes that schools are seeking, such as leadership potential and quantitative ability. Additionally, keep in mind that the application process is holistic, and work experience is just one component of a school's evaluation.

@mbaMission Thanks. Would a 163 Quant GRE score show Quant ability? I read somewhere that it's in range for programs like Wharton, Stern, and MIT.

The mark of quantitative competence on the GRE is a 162 Quant score. That will reassure most adcoms that you can manage their analytical MBA program.
