You can also put meltan on gyms and feed them berries for a chance at extra candy. I've been putting them on gyms instead of transferring and have managed to get more candy that way, granted it takes longer. You can also trade them I believe, and if you trade for something that was caught somewhere far away, you can get up to 3 candy for the meltan you trade away.

It seems you don't get it. You need ALL 400 CANDY on a single Pokemon Go account. Making multiple accounts doesn't speedup the process unless you trade, but trading is also limited and it only helps a tiny bit

2 candy sources missed in this are trade candies and gym defense berry candies. You can trade one meltan away a day for up to 3 additional candies if it's been traded for a pokemon that was caught more than 100km away. If you do this meltan for meltan you will end up with 28 extra candy a week. On top of this melmetal and meltan are the only mythical pokemon you can currently place in gyms. When berrying any pokemon in a gym you have a 1 in 85 chance of getting a candy for that pokemon. With the spin limit for stops being 3500 a week and each spin giving a min of 3 items and berries constituting about 1 out 5 of all drops you will end up with 300ish berries a day so an extra 3 or 4 meltan candy a day on average. All in all pretty grindy but it almost doubles the candy you get.

Requiring you to walk it 20 kilometers for a single candy takes the cake. It’s sad enough that Pokémon Go is held back by EXTREMELY stingy micro transactions. It’s even worse when they force you to play it by keeping a pokémon from your Pokédex. I don’t think anyone would mind as long as you could evolve it in the switch game. But this is ridiculous. Pokémon that require 100 candy for evolution are annoying as f*ck and they have the nerve to make this a 400 candy requirement. I didn’t pay 100 bucks for a stripped down game plus that stupid ball with the paywalled Mew just to be forced into spending even more money in Pokémon Go as well. And let’s not forget that Nintendo doesn’t have any cheap games. You know know how Sonic Forces, Sonic Mania and Spyro Reignited Trilogy were all 30 bucks on release? Pokémon Sun and Moon are still 60 bucks, 2 years after release.

I would understand if it was for ultra balls but they are stingy even with the basic balls. As for mythics being paywalled, I wouldn’t know. I only finished Pokémon Sun. But I don’t remember having to buy anything for specific pokemon in that game. You can even get a second Cosmog so you can trade it or Solgaleo for Lunala. Plus just because it happened before, doesn’t make it alright. But I am still looking forward to playing this game. If my copy would arrive this century.

Thanks for the vid. I know this vid was done a while ago, so maybe things have changed once I started playing. But you can send Alolan Pokémon(specifically the alolan 1st Gens) into the game. Probably it’s the only way to get the alolan shinees without doing the hard reset trick. Now the mystery box opens every two days, and there’s an event where you can get the shiny meltan from the mystery box as well. The shiny can get transferred into PoGo. I was so mad when I caught mew and saw that it couldn’t transfer.

Who's back here in 2021 to learn how to conveniently Transfer the Shiny Meltan and Shiny Melmetal we just got in Pokemon Go to Let's Go than Sword and Shield so we don't have to wait for our Transfer Machine to Charge, and so we don't have to use the weird Trainer ID Pokemon Go chooses for us after we changed are name well after Pokemon Home was even in development, and so we can also get one or both of the Shiny Meltan and Shiny Melmetal in a Premier Ball instead of one of the 3 Standard Balls? :)

Was just playing let's go, and I'm sure everyone knows about meltan's interactions in the power plant. We'll if you skip the red barrel interaction, and that one interaction in the back hallway where he gets mixed feelings, and be certain that he does get that spot in Zapdos' room. If you do this, it will say meltan felt tingly for a moment and then if you interact with him again, it says he is craving a large source of electricity. If anyone is out walking with Meltan and find a source of electricity he interacts with. Let me know. I'm testing a theory

Seven?! I got 50 of those little buggers without even getting up? I assume they noticed how awful this process was and sped up the rate of meltan spawning and made it so the box opens every 3 days instead of in a week

I just got the game but I notice this is a very inconvenient method for alot of people some people cant or wont play pokemon go so I wanna plan on grinding for alot of meltan and Melmetals and just give them away to people
