Nice I like it. I use a battery charger with a battery built in the charger. Works very nice. I got a 1600 rms watt amp on a 10" subwoofer for now.

i use 2 7.4ah sla batteries in parallel and run a 5a harbor freight charger on it and it keeps it up on my 5000w setup for cheap

Pro tip… server power Supplys will supply more than your little setup would ever pull… and can be had cheap on eBay.

I always just used a battery, how you using a power supply, dont need to be dc for an amp

It's very possible that it was making my amplifier clip, but with the battery installed it seems to be performing a lot better. In the future I'm going to get an oscilloscope to make sure my amps aren't clipping at all.

Unlikely it would clip. Also depends on if the amp has a regulated power supply. From what I've seen the only time an amp clipped with low voltage was due to poor grounding.
