I watched your video on the amount you made one month, and it was encouraging for me as a South African. I’ve been working there for about three months now, and to you I say ‘thank you’. Your advice is valuable👌🏾

@@thobydee4892 I opened my calendar for more hours for about a week. Plus, italki does promote new teachers. I also changed my intro video.

@@xolilesilombo why did you change your intro video
@xolilesilombo3 жыл бұрын
@@kanyisombulawa4157 I didn’t like it because the lighting was bad, and the sound terrible. Idk, but I’d like to think the quality of the video and sound matters too. Maybe it’s because I’m an actor and I send a lot of self tape auditions (video auditions) and the video and quality can put off casting directors when watching you on tape. That’s the logic I used when I changed my video😁

Thanks Trish! This is really helpful by the way! A question I have for you is, apart from the tips you mentioned in the video, are there any other ways in which you can market yourself and find your own students via social media platforms? And then perhaps draw them to your iTalki page for example?
@BohoChicSA3 жыл бұрын
Hey, many countries use different social media platforms so you would have to be familier with those. However, I think you could definitely do that. I have not tried that yet.

May I ask, once I've set up my kids english lesson and prices. What resources can I use to ensure that I deliver quality lessons to my students. Could you suggest a kid friendly curriculum I could follow for fun and effective lessons. Something to guide me and give my lessons structure.
