I'm actually toying with the idea of creating my first reel. So this video is definitely going to push me to do that. Cheers for the great content! 👍

This actually gave me some hope for Instagram cause I've been in struggle with it since photos started to get less engagement since Instagram is no longer photo sharing app :D So thanks for this video :-)

That's been so frustrating. Back in 2017-2019, good photos got engagement, but now it's like TikTok
Super helpful! I'll be keeping this in mind for my future content!

So helpful, thank you! Just discovered reels and I'm totally lacking in the tech aspect, unlike you guys, being a 61-year old Nanna. But oh my, enjoying the beauty of nature, sharing it and stories and cooking etc.? A whole new world (ahem, sorry 😄)! Keep up the good work, it's so refreshing to hear straight info.

I can't agree more that the process of enjoying making some short videos is key. Although I'm not as focused on IG reels, I started a KZbin channel a few weeks before the platform changes on IG. I couldn't be happier making fun, movie-like vids on KZbin. That process of experimenting and expanding how I'm communicating is a blast! Thx for the insight, as always.
@ItsJonnyKeeley3 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, KZbin is by far the funnest platform. Also the reason I haven’t gone really deep into reels.
@DJDelGrande3 жыл бұрын
@@ItsJonnyKeeley to date, I still don't enjoy the portrait format. And as someone who loves the cinema, on KZbin I get to play with that format.

Hello Johnny, I’ve been having hard time with Reels. Not sure why but it could be because I’m only uploading pictures as a video? My views are extremely low. I also noticed that Instagram compress the quality like a mad man. Is there any solution to this ? Thank you

I'm a photographer and I have a clothing called SummerOf96. I started making reel episodes called SummerOf96, it about bts when I'm working on set, running errands for my clothing line, going over old gears. Most importantly I started enjoying it and staying myself, because I'm always being goofy. I was scared at first but now I say go for it! We got this 💪🏿 🐺

Anybody else distracted by the lack of rear lens cap on the 70-200mm lens? :) What that on purpose? ;)
@ItsJonnyKeeley3 жыл бұрын
My lenses spend most of the their time without caps on.
@marktomphotography3 жыл бұрын
@@ItsJonnyKeeley interesting. And no noticeable dust and debris? Or do you clean frequently? I recently got my first noticeable scratch on my 24-70 shooting an event. Of course it was the one lens that didn't have a UV filter to protect it. :(
@ItsJonnyKeeley3 жыл бұрын
@@marktomphotography Compared to what my lenses go through shooting outdoors being sat capless in my studio is nothing. I have a go hard or go home approach to all my gear. I wouldn't worry too much those tiny scratches don't really make a hug difference. I even bought that 70-200 knowing it had a few scratches on the glass.
