How it works? Which kind of soul do you use? I tried this with Soul of a Great Hero and even if I successfully drop 99 of that item when I picked up I only receive 1. And I can't make work this trick (always show me to drop).

@@johnalberto9600 You can use any kind of soul item. It also works with humanity, I tired. I was also only getting the dropping option at some point, but the directions that the video gives is the exact way to do it. You likely are not pressing the d-pad buttons at the exact same time (that was what I was doing wrong, even if it is off by a fraction of a second it'll give you the dropping option and the glitch won't work). I recommend using two different fingers and then trying to click the d-pad buttons at the same. This should work, it has many times for me. Also as a tip: if you have more than one of the same soul item, you can drop all but one, do the glitch, then pick up the ones you dropped, so you can basically have inline souls. Hope this helped!

You have to show a number 999 (dropping, buying, selling; everything is fine) before every SUCCESSFUL menu overlap. Remember that only when item menu will be on use and brightness menu on default the glitch will work. Also the prompt swap doesn't work on consoles since you need both mouse and controller to do it. Btw they are never going to patch it.

if you're on pc, follow these steps move item you want to dupe to second place in the inventory go to arrows, select drop, change the number to the max value and quit out of that menu go to menu and do the brightness overlapping glitch. scroll 1 down and hit ok THIS IS THE IMPORTANT STEP - press down+right exactly at the same time and exactly once THEN down until you get to quit game, Press quit game and "Use item" option should now be selected.

Easier way: instead of the top slot, put the souls in the seconds slot, go down one, hit ok, then quit game, if done right this should bring up the prompt to use the item and it’s all the same from there

@@masterwayne9790 You can go on a couple of suicide runs to blighttown and pick up the stuff there, just need to pick the master key as the starting gift. You can also get a pretty nice two handed sword in the graveyard around all the spooky scary dudes, and you can get the drake sword by shooting the dragon tail off with the bow from below the bridge after you kill the Taurus demon. To kill the Taurus demon quickly, just trigger him to spawn, then run back towards the tower and climb up, then drop down on him doing a light attack in mid air, if you do that with something like a battle axe that you can get from drops form undead in undead burg, or use the two hander, or you can get a pretty good dex sword if you get down to blighttown. A good drop attack will take 1/3 of the Taurus demon health, and if you use the goldpine resin that you can find in undead burg in a chest behind a closed door, you can take 1/2 his health in one hit, then just try to get around him and hit him a couple of times in the back, or try to climb by up the stairs to hit him from above again, you should have enough health to tank one or two hits from him while climbing.

I am on my PS5 with the Remastered edition and none of this works. I have 999 wooden arrows and I can get half of this glitch to work. Once I go to select the amount of souls I want to use, I am only allowed to use the 1 I have. I can not make it 999.
