I don't think I've heard the HALT acronym specifically before however I have heard of the concept in and of itself, of checking in with our internal emotional and physiological state when we're in a big moooood. As a woman, I also take into account if I feel sad, and where I am around my menstrual cycle cause them hormones be reaaaaal yo

Walks do help me a lot, just being in a different surrounding and people watching. My room is in a basement which can get rlly dark in this time of year, so I do have a rule not to be there for too long! Daz Games has a LOT of very funny reaction videos and they have always been comforting to me or silly films like a Johnny English or something with Jim Carrey

Walking is so serene and low energy output, they're perfect to get a change of scenery. Basement suites are tough especially in darker, colder months. Thankfully we always have the great oudoors!

Only one top tip needed. Bad mood, get a whippet and cuddle. Surprise....All is well with the world. 🤭

Gotta say it's Ridgebacks for me! Once you experience a big dog's cuddles, you won't want to go back 😍 but truly yes, all dogs do make everything feel right again in the world haha.

My very unofficial top tip is... Go out for a walk and touch as many dogs as you can. Find a friend to play this game with, have a competition "who can touch the most dogs in a day". Or just compete with yourself each day 😉 Double points for a whippet, because they will only allow special people to touch them 😊

Honestly just smiling at people passing with their dogs helps to make my day. I'd love to pet every dog that I pass by, though I also want to respect their space and let them enjoy their walk without yet another stranger smothering them, lol. If they come up to me though, I'll never pass down the opportunity to say hello 🐾
