So glad you tuned in! Another helpful tip is to shift out of telling yourself that you lack confidence and instead just admit that you feel uncertain because you are learning. The feeling of being uncertain often feels less negative to the brain then lacking confidence. You will feel uncertain and that's okay. We all feel uncertain when we are learning. That feeling can actually serve you in being open to gathering the information you need to gain the certainty that comes with experience.

This is true, sometime I'm overwhelmed with anxiety and self-doubt that ending it all crosses my mind, but I don't want to appear as coward or weak to my daughter and extended family for running away from life's challenges, but my confidence is really nowhere to be found these days due to a lack of support from anyone...

When your Confidence is shaken.... 1. Have the courage to step into the thing you want to feel confident in. 2. Be confident in your ability to be confident. 3. Ask yourself why it is worth it to show up and become confident.

I just started a new job after working at my previous job for 10 years. I’ve been dealing with so many different emotions and tons of anxiety. The new job isn’t even bad. I was lucky to find a very supportive environment, where the training is actually really good. The problem is me and my negative thinking. It’s like I’m fighting with myself everyday just to show up and be uncomfortable. I can’t wait to get to the point where I can actually enjoy this job more, but rn I’m so anxious that I’m not even enjoying it. It makes me feel ungrateful

So what you're saying is...show up, do the work, and let the work and effort help you build your confidence, that it's okay to not be confident from the get go (even though you still shouldn't show to anyone how truly shaken you are), and that it will come to me by simply working my way up through the tasks...amazing. love that.

I'm a month in at a new job after working my previous one for 7 years and struggling very much with my confidence and the new workload expectations. So much so, that the daily anxiety overwhelms my ability to eat, sleep, enjoy my time off and my performance at the job. I'll try to keep your advice in the back of my head :)

I will be starting school again at 32. I work customer service and have no career. living paycheck to paycheck, dont make enough money for rent. I'm terrified by life so far. Godh i just started a new job and i just feel like the confident me that they saw in the interview is GONE😭My inexperience in this particular role makes me feel so insecure and anxious! It’s like my mind just freezes! The mental shaming is so real and am struggling to assert myself cause i haven’t grasped the ropes yet. PS: Ranting to a total group of strangers feels sooo therapeutic and cathartic! ALSO: Thank you so much for this video! It was EVERYTHING i needed to hear today!🙏

Trudey Henley I'm 3 months into a new job after being laid off 1 year ago. Most days I wake up feeling that it's not, I can't, and just want to walk away. Virtually onboarding to a new job without any physical resources and limited online assistance is not easy. I feel like I'm one of the Guinea pigs who can explain firsthand why it's not working.

I've just found your videos today. Thanks so much. I needed to be reminded that I've never been confident at the start of any job. I have always ended up being good at my job. This is a good job in a good company and that's my motivation for sticking with it. I don't expect other people to be great at a new job straight away I need to remember that when it comes to myself..

your point that something shifted 100% identified what I couldn’t put my finger on. I’ve been on a medical leave for one month and it had been extended which lead to me not knowing when I was able to go back. Couple that with an extremely nosy coworker who keeps telling me how busy they are which lead me to feel guilty for taking care of myself and not being there for the “team”. I’m excellent at my job and I’ve been a month without all of the validation my customers give me. I’ve overthought every single thing and questioned the validity of me being off, only for this coworker to reinforce it. Your video was exactly what I needed. I’m going too walk in confident and self assured. I took the time my doctor said I needed and I don’t need to prove myself to my coworkers I’ll just keep doing the great work I’m known for. New sub here. Thank you!

I never had a mom that truly helped me with tough emotions. This left me feeling scrambled when something major happens and I feel insecure and depressed. I changed jobs one month ago after being an expert and the top of the ladder at my old one. I'm totally uncertain and very depressed. I've been internally beating myself up for not being as confident as I wish I was. Thank you so much for this video, I can't express how much this has helped me right now.

Thank you. 6 days in a new job as a Skills Coach to teachers and educators I decided I wanna leave lol. They thankfully said stop and offered to change my role abit. It's still stressful but I am working on this feeling of worrying and have recognised its a negative way of reacting to something critical or self defense for my brain by running away. I must stop and overcome this fear. It's the only way I will learn and the lesson will not keep repeating in my life. 2 months in and I'm thinking ...keep trying. You will get there. Its a new role and a new programme too.

I am fine but at the same time I question why I want to continue working in a place where I feel so insecure. It is a coworker who has decided I do not belong and is bullying and gossiping. I asked to be separated but the environment is very small. I believe I will find a place where I can work more autonomously.

Point is that I don’t really know much yet but I’m an eager student… unfortunately the person who trains me isn’t always very kind…she’s rather a bit condescending when I don’t immediately get it, or when i make a mistake its like “look how dumb you are”… maybe that’s all in my head I don’t know? I do like the job but it’s though as an introvert to be exposed to so many people all day long,… it’s actually pretty overwhelming to be honest but the people who work there do this for yeas so they forgot how difficult it was in the beginning… i just question if I’ll ever be good enough to have a voice in that company? Why should anyone listen to the inexperienced one… how can i ever be confident enough if you know that your coworkers have so much more experience? Its like I’ll always be in a submissive position, which doesn’t actually feels good

I used fear for motivating myself to prepare for exam as I had issues in learning. So two days before exam I was doing things in a slow pace and lagging the timelines but the night before exam my anxiety and fear reaches at its height and I hardly finish revising the stuff just before sitting the exam. Though I got good grades but the pain I endured was awful as my fear make this whole process a matter of life and death for me. My slow learning was due to obsession for perfectionism, low self confidence and attention deficiency. I still suffer in similar manner in professional life and this puts me so low emotionally and gets depression and anxiety attacks. Can anyone please help me.
