Eventually you will realize that happiness is not the absence of problems, but simply the ability to deal well with them. Imagine all the wondrous things your mind might embrace if it weren’t wrapped so tightly around your struggles. Always look at what you have, instead of what you have lost. Because it’s not what the world takes away from you that counts; it’s what you do with what you have left.

What hurts is that their opinion of us has changed. They once had a good opinion of us and now they don’t. That’s where the pain comes from.
@KenjiiSykes3 ай бұрын
While it is true that the pain of someone changing their mind or opinion of you is real, we must not forget that change is the only constant in life, nothing in nature is the same all year round. And in just the same way people change, grow, discover their true needs and wants and have different desires in different phases of their life. I know how much it hurts to love someone and consider them everything you ever wanted and them not being able to reciprocate, but never are our needs more important than somebody else's, and so we must accept the pain with grace and not make it mean anything about us or our worth and lovability.

I tend to think that once the damage is done your best bet is to pull the plug on the relationship. No matter how hard it might seem. my boyfriend of 1 year broke up with me saying I mistreated him. even tho I gave him everything I had. I put in so much time and effort into trying to make him happy. he seemed happy too tho... he cheated on me when it hit 8 months. I was crying and everything. I told my family, friends. and they told me to leave him. but I didn't. He told me I wasn't enough for him. then blocked me on everything. I tried talking to him. but that made me cry way more. my advice is to block them! stop talking to them! thats the sign that they aren't the one. so now you have to move on and find the one. and trust me, it will be hard. but in the future someone will love you way more.

Just put God first, pray and ask the Holy Spirit for strength and guidance and steer you in the right direction while asking for the right people to come into your life! We take things into our own hands ( the flesh) instead if going to God for our daily bread which is the first step in the right path in achieving happiness in life! Amen! Amen!

Watering it down to the very basic gist of why, he said it had to do with issues surrounding his feelings about him being homosexual and the reasons "why" he is that way which he attributes to things that happened in his childhood. There is no way I can make those thoughts go away. I wish there was. I wish there was a way for me to convince him that I cannot and make him want to stay in my life. I am so scared right now but this video is definitely something I needed to see.

That no matter what I cannot remove his memories of his trauma. I can be there to lend a shoulder for him to cry on but I cannot take away his memories. Once I told him this he realized he was expecting me to remove his bad feelings which I cannot nor anyone else do. This changed his mood toward me and things are much better now. Thank you so much!

roxineexo ZeO LOsT hey guys it's been a few months since this happened and I'm happy to say that I've moved on. It has been hard and there were many tears along the way but eventually I realised that holding onto him was not healthy for me and in order to move on I had to cut contact off completely. He was very cruel to me after the breakup and got annoyed at me for still loving him so I realised I had to let go in order to be happy again. As soon as I properly let go I was able to open my heart and I'm now in a new relationship with a loving great guy :) Don't worry you can move on it just takes time. I never thought I could stop loving him but sometimes love makes you blind to peoples flaws. As soon as I stopped loving I realised he wasn't always good for me.

I smiled because I can literally relate to that example. @8:34-9:51 resonated with me, but not about hair color. My specific example, which is one of my most vivid childhood memories is when I was on a playground on some jungle gym with my sister nearby, and a boy said to me, "I like your sister better," and then went down the slide. Now, we looked even more identical as children than we do these days. I just remember feeling like I had been violently accosted and that it was nonsensical for this little boy to say something that stupid to me. I like this video, but as I listened to it, I thought, I wasn’t unhappy when I got broken up with because I believed I'm not worthy, lovable, good enough, etc., I was unhappy to be broken up with because he couldn't see how worthy, lovable, better than good enough, etc. I am!

Breakups stink. This emotional pain hurts. Especially at night and early in the morning. Suicidal thoughts every single day.

Thank you. This helped me delete negative thoughts in my life, and secure pleasure innerly. Not with the idea of her in my life.

I was in relationship with a guy for 3 years. We had decided to get married and our families too knew about it. But suddenly he said he doesn’t want to marry me as he feels i have lot of problems and he cant tolerate it. He said not just him but no one can possibly tolerate me. I don’t deny that I have some emotional issues due to my traumatic childhood and i shared my heart out with him thinking he will never judge me for it. But he used my weaknesses against me to show how pathetic person i am and made it an excuse to not marry me. Currently i have emotional problems, but i am working on it and it won’t be for long. But i never expected him to say such hurtful things to me that crushed my already broken soul. He too has problems, no one is perfect but no one deserves to be hurt for their imperfections. I have lost the hope that true love exists. Everyone is selfish and won’t think twice before ditching you.

This guy is amazing at taking complex ideas and making it simple enough for us to understand, and more importantly I'm able to retain the information learned. Thank you so much! It has really helped me better understand my less than ideal situation and I feel a lot better.

JUST BROKE UP WITH THE GIRL I LOVE SO MUCH 5 DAYS BACK AND SHE HAVE JUST MOVED ON AFTER A BREAKUP. I LOVED HER SO MUCH AND WERE EVEN PLANNING TO GET MARRY THIS NOVEMBER, I WAS SO COMMITTED TO HER. EVEN TOOK HER 3YRS OLD BABE AS MINE. AFTER BREAKUP, I NEVER WENT OUTDOOR, I NEVER SPEAK TO ANYONE AND NEVER HAD A PROPER MEAL. EVEN TODAY THE ONLY THING I HAVE IS MY LAPTOP AND NOTHING ELSE. I'VE BEEN CRYING WITH SLEEPLESS NIGHT. TERRIBLE AND I FEEL SO TRAUMATISED

Hi Noaf, Great observations. Isn't that when we are breaking up, we are telling the other that I have perceived this world around me in a different way which is having more dissimilarities from your perception of this world. And, none can ever make it to sense them similarly. It is bound to be dissimilar when it is perceived by two different people. The right match never exists in psychological field.
