in the old days, women EXPECTED this, and they knew that a part of you wanted to f them, but as long as you didn't come off like a complete jerk, they were fine with it.... nowadays, you have to be careful where you do it and also learn to take a hint...remember, HR departments are stacked with females so you are fighting a losing battle if it is her word against yours in a sexual harassment scenario.... and finally, good hygiene, grooming, and fitness go a long way even if you are not a good looking guy....

The strongest negotiating position is being able to walk away and mean it. Nothing a woman says or does should effect you emotionally. He's absolutely right about the society where men feel like they need to become powerless instead of being powerful but well controlled. I've certainly felt this from the society as I was growing up and I had a feeling that it wasn't right to feel this way. It felt unnatural to me that I had to be a powerless "rabbit". Once I discovered Dr. Peterson and his discussion on this topic, I had that "aha!" moment, and I could say it has changed a lot about me.

Choices that you've made that when looked back on, you understand how the choice you made was wrong or maybe wasn't exactly a good approach. I'd say it makes it more difficult, at least for me and the way I see it, to try and be genuine with that forgiveness because that other part of telling you that you shouldnt forgive. Convincing yourself that the choices you made were so unforgivable, at from your rational part of you, that you convince yourself that you're not worth being forgiven, even by yourself.

Hello, as a woman, I just want to say please embrace your masculinity fully. There are feminine women out there that will love and appreciate you for it. This new wave of feminism is really damaging and unhealthy and I think as much as the media loves to push it, it's making it sooo hard to date. Hang in there! and don't get discouraged by the women who bought into it and will get offended if you offer to hold a door.

Thanks for putting this comment here because as a man being on social media definitely ruined my view of women and really caused me problems. I would believe all women hate men and are all “modern feminists” and that still makes me really cautious around them in order or not come across as creepy or weird by doing something wrong. So many times I find it awkward and don’t know what to say so it ends up being awkward in itself because I worry lots. After talking to a girl I usually always overthink what I did and worry that I was too much. I just never see the signs they like me and when I do like them I don’t know how to flirt without being feeing stupid or weird.

Well said mate. That pretty much sums up the anxiety. In two words I'd call it 'social paralysis'. Incredible that a deep rooted sense of 'I'm not enough' is so engrained in the collective consciousness of men who fall into the group of sufferers when it comes to trying to attract someone. I think the cultural narrative of men is fed by the mainstream as toxic and exacerbates our internal shame to the point of 'ah what's the point we're all going to end up tired drained old farts anyway'. A kind of sexual nihilism.

Ben Diaz The way it works is, you do the thing you're scared shitless of, and you get the courage AFTER you do it, not before you do it. The problem with most of you lot is you have been conditioned to try and please women and to fear their judgement. Let me explain something to you, a woman’s judgement of you as a man can never live up to and compete with a man of real integrity. Man was created first and out of man, the woman was formed. Women were created to help US not the other way around. We lead and women will follow, this has been true since the dawn of mankind. Work on and improve yourself first. Physically, mentally, financially etc. When you make gains in these areas women will start taking more notice of you and come flocking. They will be more discreet in most cases because that is their nature. But if you learn to read body language, you will be able to tell if a woman likes you and then make your move if the opportunity arises. Stop acting like you are not enough or have nothing to offer. BULLSHIT!!! You are the prize! Women need men a heck of a lot more than we need them. It has always been this way. Another thing nobody may have ever told you, WOMEN CRAVE SEX MORE THAN WE DO! Think about it....What exactly is the cliterous for ? What is its purpose ? It’s only purpose is for the sexual gratification of women, nothing more. It has no function in terms reproduction. ZERO! We don’t even have a sexual organ that only exists for gratification yet we are apparently the one’s who only think about sex. Most of the time when a woman pretends like sex isn’t important to her she will do it mainly for 3 reasons: 1)She isn’t interested in sex with YOU because she simply isn’t attracted to you. 2)She tries to hide her true nature because she doesn’t want to be judged as a slut. 3)And this happens a lot more than guys think, she is using the allure of “potential” sex as a semblance of control over the man. Stop listening to what society says you should be doing to please women. FUCK PLEASING THEM. When you have something to offer, they will come after you (most women’s way of making a “move” is giving you prolonged eye contact, a smile or even striking up what seems like a completely innocuous conversation). The majority of them will NOT be more upfront than that. Only a few will get straight to the point of what they really want. The majority of them just like hanging around at the finish line and fuck the winner. They always have and they always will. That means YOU AS THE MAN ARE THE ONE WHO IS IN CHARGE. SO GO AHEAD AND FORGE YOUR DESTINY!

Josh Forde... it's not a bad thing to give up on dating per se... Situation you're describing calls, not for dating, but for contact. that's kind of the point of this video, to have random contact with females in order to understand that they are humans more than they are sexual prospects. Peterson had another video on this somewhere that was great. so bottom line? find a way to interact with females, and completely ignore any possibility of relationship... Just interact with them as fellow humans on this Earth Ship. if you can do this enough your internal attitude towards women will change and you won't be afraid of them.

Another thing is that there is a difference between between being an expert in the concept of an subject(keayboard jokeys) for ex relationships and being prctically good at something. Basically theory vs practice. Most people need to go through things to understand and to grow, some people( and I suspect Jordan to be liek that) have the ability to leanr through other peoples's mistakes or experiences. @@onthearth1 Very true. I don't he would've been able to attain such a tremendous amount of popular traction if he wasn't a special breed of psychologist. I think what you say about the discrepancy between theory and practice has a lot of truth. I've met a lot of psychologists who had a very rigid and inflexible way of treating people. Even though their heart was in the right place, they lacked a certain something that Jordan peterson displays in the videos that I watched. His strong sense of curiosity in societal mechanisms, philosophy and very importantly people makes him very endearing to me.( and likely others such as yourself too) He very much feels Like a healer in the traditional sense ( medicin men ect) in terms of his openess/curiosity. The hardest part is overcoming rejection, it's all part of the experience of what it is tio be a man in a world of women, if you have wanted women and they have wanted you, it's hard to accept rejection later on in life. You end up basically rejecting yourself and spending too much time on KZbin instead of having the courage and the desire to meet interesting women again.

I'm a long-term dating kind of person. I usually get 3+ year relationships going. My shortest was my last one at 8mo, but it's because the chick was kinda a wreck. I kept using online dating sites to find chicks, but it always ended up horrible. I tried a new app where there weren't so many predatory peeps on, and I found a "traditional" kind of woman who is religious and conservative, grew up in a wholesome household with a nuclear family. She has her life together, private uni grad and a nice job; not necessarily a career. She's more interested in being a mother than a career woman. It's incredibly satisfying meeting someone who has their life together and was raised well. We didn't get to sex until a few months in. Definitely marriage material. I'm only 5mo in so far, and it's great!

This dating thing is really not hard for men. It just seems hard. Here is the key; Work on yourself. Improve yourself in every way possible. Read the books on Jordan Peterson's book list. It will really improve your vocabulary and comprehension. Go to the gym. The social interaction will come as you get more and more fit. Women notice fit guys even more than men notice fit women. Be kind. Being kind is not a weakness. Being kind out of fear is a weakness. Strength under control is the formula Peterson teaches. Be the man that can potentially be dangerous but keep it under control. Don't live in your mom's basement. Women are seeking safety and security in a long-term relationship. If you cannot provide those two things, women seem to know it instinctively. Relax, be yourself, do not present yourself as something that you are not. Women will love to be around you.

Afraid to talk to woman = afraid of rejections ? Best way to get raid of it is to get rejected so much you don't care anymore... Go out and get rejected 5 times a day minimum and you'll loose this fear. Question is how motivated are you ?

I saw your comment and I have to say, I've found it doesn't work like that. After enough rejection, you end up deciding it's not worth it anymore. Also there are many videos on differentiating between good and nice. As you said, nice is not equivalent of good. I actually wanted to write my experience, but it you be an essay, not a comment. 25 tinder dates!? wtf I couldn't even get one. It is merely a conflict between what we want 'now' and in the 'future'. Eventually something will line up, Trust me I've tried countless times, and continually doing so. It is the same result every time, I'm not lucky enough to get attention back. Each day is more tiring, so you focus on the important stuff. Which is to save up and eventually look to start a family. Most girls have the freedom to have all the fun they want, and preparing for the future is never fun.

It's not just tinder, it's PoF, its Bumble, I've narrowed it down to it just being me. Over the good 8 years so far of using dating sites, across sending literally hundreds of messages over time, I've had one date which turned out to be the worst day of my life. One girl responded back and she was the worst piece of shit I've ever seen in my life. She would eat chocolate cake for dinner, Believed in polyamory and told me she had already been on 3 dates with 3 different guys that same week. It's not a matter of being mad at women anymore, just extremely disappointed.

@robmiester

I'll maybe get 3 matches a year across every dating platform and they all lead to nothing. The girl will either say "hey" or nothing. The 2 dates I've had from online dating over the course of my life had both been absolute disasters. I've sent 100's of messages over the years, to no avail. It would be nice if they could at least respond 'hey sorry I'm not interested" instead of nothing. But they don't they message you a year after you respond to them. What kind of message is it, perhaps a deep thought provoking question that could lead into a real conversation? No, its , 'sup', 'nmu', 'k'. The whole thing is a disaster.

I’ve been pondering on why men and women have the issues that currently exist. Men are been shamed with accusations of toxic masculinity. Women have anger towards men. They become angry if a guy acts chivalrous. They have become confused with the difference between being equal to men and being the same as men. Men are angry, frustrated and fed up with women’s attitudes. My theory is that underneath it all we’re all scared of being hurt and rather than being open and vulnerable to allowing someone into our lives, we’re projecting our fears into the opposite sex. We’re all starving for connection, love and acceptance. It has to start with ourselves internally. There’s too many people walking around with major self esteem issues.

I had a similar experience. I went out for drinks with a "Strong Independent woman" who would not stop talking about gender stereotypes were the main evil of our time. until I brought up paying for dates that is.... then she said, and I quote. "if the man doesn't pay, how do you know it was a date?" Now I also know women(both modern and traditional. ) who have integrity in spades, and would never expect something from a partner without expecting the same (modern) or the equivalent (traditional) from themselves. the trick is you have to forget about "scoring" and actually get to know people before you try and push anything.

AdrunkChangeling As for the 50 Shades types and the heavy-handed so-called feminists (feminism to me is equality, not special treatment for women), I struggle to deal with either. The 50 shades type do propagate assaults against women who are able to be open and communicate. The heavy-handed women have their own hurt that they are dealing with, presumably, and should be given space to heal. I say that having been in a position of healing from an abusive relationship and not being able to handle any attention from men. The abuse made me hyper aware of male presence at times where I had no protection and the sense of vulnerability is overwhelming. That said, there are also men out there claiming "women are all feminazi man haters" who are just too thick to take a hint when you try to politely let them know that you're not interested...then less politely...then...?

I don't approach women because I've always had this fear that they would slap me and call me a pervert. Could that happen? Possibly, but the likelihood of it happening is very very minimal. I know all of this but the fear is still there. Just like your fear of being assaulted is very small as well. So, how do we get over our fears? I have no clue... Just wanted to say my piece.
