Confidence is uncomfortable.. I think as we get older and as we start showing more and more of ourselves and the way we think over the internet
you sart to recognize one thing that we all have in common. We have No SHAME.. And its so funny because when people are living their lives and some are choosing to share parts of themselves ..
you see theres a CLEAR spectrum.. Theres people that may share an outfit or a beauty routine or two.. and then theres other people that share… ALOT.. (we wont get into specifics about what those things are but you know.. its OUT THERE) and so many people are floored.. like I cant belive your sharing that with the world??? “have you no shame?” and the answer is “No ..they dont” and neither should you!
In this episode I will unpack the many layers we may have about the fear being seen and having the confidence to live in our authentic selves .. so that we can get closer to living in our purpose with no limitations..

I’ve come to realize that my outward authenticity reveals others inner hidden insecurities. I’ve always felt like I’ve never belonged & highly sensitive to others perception. To my detriment, longing for deep connections has unconsciously trained me to suffocate/ hide to just to belong...But it’s my time to be *seen* so others who think like me can find me.

Omg I've met my people. I feel so much better already. I've struggled with shrinking myself because people have made me out to be too extra for being comfortable with dressing up and looking girly. I started wearing dark colors and clothes that hide my shape. No more making others comfortable while we dim ourselves. Peace and blessings to you beautiful ❤

Sooo much this. I’ve been working out more recently and yes you do get compliments but you also notice a pattern of certain ppl always bringing up your body in subtle ways. How lucky I am, while completely disregarding the hard work it takes to get it! Just an example. This parallels in so many avenues in life. Career, love, friendships etc.

Loved this. I'm so used to dimming my light because others couldn't handle my shine. So I was forced to choose between either dimming my light or allowing myself to shine in the company of someone I knew would mishandle me. That stops now. I'm choosing me. Everyone else can put on shades if they can't handle my glow. If I say I want something, that's what it's going to be! With God on my side I can't lose.

I don’t think confidence should mean doing away with have a degree of boundaries,humility and yes even shame (which in some sense is designed to keep us safe).I need to be more confident with my ideas and self but I don’t want to show off.There needs to be a happy healthy medium.

Having shame comes from pride, pride comes from ego. When you are shameless you can accept yourself at your most authentic and then you can do so for others. You can help others see they can be shameless too. Maybe ask yourself why you think humility goes hand in hand with shame?

@@danielladonis9382 Pride and ego aren’t the same thing.Some degree of pride is natural.And to be shameless doesn’t mean someone doesn’t have pride.But pride aside surely having too much of an ego is what causes one to be shameless.Human dignity is a crucial part of self worth.Does protecting one’s dignity mean we are egotistical.No.But doesn’t having no regard for values around our self and creating boundaries around who has access to it mean we are egotistical? I don’t think so on the contrary it’s from humility.

I needed to see this. I totally agree...the 90's and early 2000's were so culturally and emotionally toxic, I built this hard shell around myself and raised the bar to this unrealistic and unattainable level. Although I am an only child and extremely individualistic, I struggled so badly with fear of exposing my deepest and most vulnerable feelings at times. Perfectionism caused me to lose the love of my life, change my major in college, and even stunting my growth here on youtube. No person knows what they are doing...we are all just "winging it".
