MY MAN! AWESOME INFORMATION! I told a colleague of mine that you're never too old to learn and that I'm open to learning from anyone, even younger people. He said you are an illustrator master (not quite🙃). I have just 30 years of experience working in Illustrator, and I always learn something new. Again, this is a great tutorial of sorts. Now, I'm back to work on a 2-3 minute tweak that I was delayed finishing because Adobe and Pantone made a horrible decision.🤨 AGAIN AWESOME INSIGHT

on PC, the files are under: 'Program Files' > 'Adobe' > 'Adobe Illustrator 2023' > 'presets' > 'en_US' > 'Swatches' > 'Color Books' Thanks for figuring this out and sharing.

Just a note: I didn't have access to the older version of Illustrator, Adobe Cloud only took me back so far. But I did have the older versions of Adobe Bridge on my PC. In the Colour Book folder, there were the Pantone files, so I copied them as backup and placed them into the Illustrator 2025 Colour Book folder, and everything worked perfectly. They must use the same Colour Book Swatches files across the Adobe range.

This won't work anymore, as the oldest you can download is 28.0. That does not have the Pantone Colors anymore.

If your Illustrator is not in English, the folder under "en_US" will be in your language, for Brasil it's: Presets > pt_BR > Amostras > Livros coloridos

I have a PC, not Apple and I can't find the colorbooks in a file I can copy and put into the latest version. The colorbooks are in when I go into the old version to use them.
