Would a mark of 6'8" or 6'10" get me recruited to go to a power 5 school like UNC or Duke (grades shouldn't be an issue, I am a top 2-5% student in my class)? I am shooting for at least 5'10" if not 6'+ this spring as a freshman and think that 6'8"+ if for sure possible if I train properly and well. Would I need to hit that mark as a Junior to get a scholarship? If I get it as a senior I feel like that would be too late to get any money, as schools probably have already filled their incoming class's roster spots.

You can get scholarship until the very end. Even if you jump well at your last meet. Many schools may have already filled up their roster but their are much more schools still looking to add good talent. I got recruited my senior year, and I know many others who did as well. 6’8-6’10 is fine, scholarship depends on what conference you compete in. Whether those marks can get top 3 is usually the determinant on scholarship.

I started throwing javelin 3 months ago and I am interested in throwing in college. I throw 122 on my 6 step approach but I am a junior do you think I'm too late into the game?
