Moissanite is not a fake diamond it is a precious stone in its own right. I don’t understand the stigma. It is literally the second hardest of all precious stones. It dethroned sapphire once it was discovered. Additionally natural moissanite is rarer to find than diamonds which is why what is used in jewelry is lab grown.

Whatever you’re describing is fake moissanite because moissanite itself is far more durable than what you’re describing and the actual real natural mineral stone is harder to find in nature than diamonds.

Jeweler’s been scamming people for decades about the authenticity of stones, the internet is what messed it up for them. Moissanite is definitely the way to go unless you’re planning on resale. They actually look better than diamond in most cases, but we’ve been brainwashed about diamonds the same way we’ve been brainwashed about designer clothing and everything else.
