How-to get rid of Black Lines across Copies and Scans on your Xerox printer by cleaning the glass

Hi, I have a Workcentric 6515 that makes a shaded black, rectangular shaped block/line all the way down on one side of every document only when making copies or doing scans. It does it both from the feeder and the glass. No problems with lines and such for print jobs from the computer. Only When I need to scan to make copies or scan to email/computer. I am concerned that it could be the scanner assembly but any advice on other things I can check? Thanks

I am not getting black lines, but am getting a vertical blank strip on every page printed. Can you make a recommendateion? The model is Xerox workcentre 6027.

You might try cleaning the Color Toner Density (CTD) sensors.
