My 1 year old has SO MUCH cradle crap!! Lol we call it cradle crap, not cradle "cap." Your baby is so beautiful, and this video was helpful, thank you!

Adorable baby! I had my daughter in 2002 and she had cradle cap as well. My pediatrician advised me to use a 1 part dandruff shampoo and add 3-4 part water solution. But because I knew that dandruff shampoo had a drying effect to hair I added baby oil into the solution. Which worked well for my daughter's hair. Now that she's grown up she has thick hair with body. But she loves to keep it cut short in a pixie cut. And I hate to say it but she actually look beautiful with it.

I’ll take the baby and you can have one of my Chihuahuas. By the way, great job for not allowing cradle “crap” to grow 3 inches thick on your amazing baby’s scalp. Doctors like to tell parents that it’s harmless, and maybe so but it’s also itchy, unsightly and downright gross. No baby should have a lizard scalp! Peace, AM

Hi. What a beautiful baby, with a gorgeous head of hair. You recommend not combing or scraping. I was hoping you could elaborate on that, simply because most ppl on KZbin (and ppl in their comments section) are recommending that you use a comb. Also, approximately how long did your method take, before you started seeing great results?
@Bitemyfashion5 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you so much. I said do not comb the scalp because you don't want to cause irritation but you can use your fingertips to lightly lift the flakes and work in the oil. I hope that clarifies. The comb can cause irritation and picking the flakes will make the hair come out with them. I saw results immediately, however it may look worse because you will see the flakes that were on the scalp in the baby's hair but that is nothing to worry about. For it to clear up when it is moderate, I would do this once a day for 5-7 days. I hope this helps
@blackwidowz27715 жыл бұрын
@@Bitemyfashion Thank you for the clarification. My best friend's mother advised her to use the comb, and it did just what you said it would do...it irritated her scalp. Thank you for sharing.

I'm using that on baby's hair it's not good for the scalp because it plugs the follicles. Why oil and shampoo at the same time
@marilynhobson3033 жыл бұрын
The more oil you put on the scalp the more the porse get clogged

So u have to.wash.out the oil? Why most people wash,and leave oils in baby hair?
@Bitemyfashion2 жыл бұрын
Yes, wash the oil out or it will block the hair follicles and can cause more issues.
@marilynhobson3034 жыл бұрын
Using oil makes it worse. If your going to remove it, use little oil, comb and remove then wash with Baby shampoo

How do you get the flakes out once they are in the hair after washing? That's the issue I'm having
@Bitemyfashion5 жыл бұрын
honestly, just leave them and let them work out as you repeat the process. If there are a lot or it is really bothering you, you can fluff the hair as if you are just dusting and this will remove some of them. Hope this helps!

Adding oils and butters to the scalp makes the cradle cap even worse because you're plugging the pores

That is why it is important to wash it out very well.

I just realized today my 1 month old have it around the front of her hairline, I did your routine 5 hrs ago! I wanna know do you put any olive oil or coconut oil in her hair before putting her to bed and as a moisturizer for her hair if is gets dry? She’s my first baby so I’m still learning
@Bitemyfashion4 жыл бұрын
Sorry for my late reply. How did it turn out? I never add oil unless I am washing it out because I dont want to clog up the hair follicles or create more issues.

D Smooth your not alone. My little girls is too and it’s on the top 🤦🏾♀️. I thought we are suppose to leave some oil in their hair afterwards bc the scalp is dry.

My daughter was the same and she still has eczema a bit and dry skin but this cleared up her cradle cap right away! She's almost 2 now and while this is simple it worked really well. Were you able to find something that worked for your son?
@marilynhobson3034 жыл бұрын
Babies hair is already oily. When you put on more oil your plugging the hair follicles even more.

Yes Marilyn, that is why it is important to let the shampoo sit and thoroughly wash it out.

You need to call comb it off all you're doing is making the scalp more oily
@Bitemyfashion4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I emphasize leaving the shampoo on the hair, and thoroughly rinsing. This will not leave the hair oily at all. If you comb cradle cap all it will do is irritate the scalp, same as scratching inflamed or irritated skin.
