I agree to what you said. Few things I realised myself like I need to reduce my screen time... Ive started working on it few months back and it really helped me. Infact I was also addicted to mobile myself. What I also observed and realised is that when we are able to give children our time then they dont ask for these gadgets. So its not them who have to change but... Its the parents who need to change.

All this advice works as long as both parents are devoted to spending time with kids. If only one parent takes initiatives to keep a child busy, it would take a toll on that parent. It’s not always easy to keep children busy especially when there is no one to play with. Kids at a certain age also tend to get bored with toys. In that case parents needs to step in. Problem is with the Covid situation it is extremely hard.
