HOW TO GET SEAT CUSHIONS INTO THEIR COVERS AND DRESS THEM PROFESSIONALLY | UPHOLSTERY FOR BEGINNERS

@faceliftinteriors thanks for the lesson. After learning so much from you, I finally get to give you a helpful tip! As much as I enjoy watching a man working hard...I am about to speed up your process. -Turn the slip inside out completely. -Reach inside to the reversed corners and grab the front corners of the foam. -Still squeezing the corners through the fabric, roll your hands in towards the middle of the edge and back towards your stomach. So it's like when you make a fist, curl your fist down to the inside of your wrist. This will pull the cover over the front edge and a couple inches up the sides. -Repeat that move once more then remove your hands. Now is when you line up your salvage and seams on the front panel and make sure your front corners are filled. -Turn the front away from you and put the cushion on it's side. Use one hand to push down on the side of the cushion at the same time you use your other hand to pull the fabric up and over the cushion. You line the seams up as you go. -Flip to the other side and repeat. -Now roll zipper edges over the back edge of the foam and finish lining up the seams. -Remember to place scraps of dacron over the back corners to protect it from the zipper. (I've only seen this in high quality cushions...I used to clean for a living...there were many cushions involved...lol). Slide your middle finger underneath the zipper and grasp the tab with thumb and forefinger and pull. At the same time using your other hand to squeeze the foam just ahead of the zipper. Your middle finger stops the filler from getting stuck in the zipper.

Another excellent tutorial. It's very true a cushion makes the chair, try telling that to some people who work in peace work upholstery 😂😂. Good to see your still going strong 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
