when i straighten my hair, i do it in layers instead of sections because of time. i section the bottom layer, split it in 2 and put it over my shoulders, then i spray the heat protectant into my hands, then into my hair, that way i can control where it goes instead of getting everything in your room covered. and with my hair extensions, i put the clips, into my draws so i dont have to hold them, and you could still use your regular technique using both hands

when you have a lower heat setting and you run the straightener through your hair a few times it disperses the lower heat more evenly through the hair, if you just go full on with higher heat setting you will definitely damage it more. none heat setting gives you a fully straight strand with one run through...

Its also helpful to keep your straightener on a low setting if you live in a humid country. I live in the UK and can experience all four seasons in one day, and I found that my fine, frizzy hair stays straight if I straighten it on a low/the lowest setting on my straightener.

if its curly DON'T brush it with a hair brush brush it with your fingers or with a wide tooth comb, and then you can take a curling iron and go over the curls if your hair is short. Use a bigger barrel! You can also use argan oil or a leave in creme. The macadamia one is awesome.

Don't touch it while it's drying, try to keep from fussing with your hair, don't brush it with a brush, gently separate/style hair with your fingers. Curly hair is so much more fragile. Smoothing cremes or oils (in tiny amounts) are great for coating the hair shaft and helping prevent/manage frizz.

When I used to use extension I would hang them on an adjustable skirt rack/hanger to straighten/wash my extensions! Made it a lot easier! Just be careful not to tug too much, of course :)

This is why I'm sometimes grateful my hair is naturally straight. But on the downside, it's nowhere near as shiny as yours Mimi! Your extensions are the same quality as your hair. That's saying something since they're such healthy hair! I have to wait until mine become slightly damaged before they blend with my hair, simply because mine is so fine and thin it seems damaged compared to the thick shiny extensions. Great video!

you should try the elnett heat protective spray for straight hair. it is an awesome heat protective that helps straightening. you just spray it through your hair, blow dry it using a round brush and it works really great! also, the hairstyle lasts for at least 3 days! :)

i've been doing the same technique for 2years ago every time i take a shower,at the first months my hair was so perfect ,very shiny and straight,but now my hair is VERY damage in the bottom, i start cutting it every 2 or 3 month just to give it a space to grow... this summer i decided to stop using heat and give it a break i also use coconut and olive oil before shower and it looks really better :)
