Good video Craig. I like this approach of buying a map of your surrounding area and learning to familiarize yourself comparing your local area to the map. Thanks for sharing. Take care, friend.

Thanks Andy. I think people can get too carried away with wanting to get 'stuck in', without fully grasping the basics of relating map to ground!

@The Bushcraft Padawan Way ahead of you Craig and subscribed. Navigation is a stone I have left mostly unturned for 7 years but now is the time. Looking forward to binging through your playlist and putting it into practice. I've just completed the Kintyre Way over 8 days but it only required basic map reading skills, and I've relied heavily on GPS over the years. Looking to gain the ability to navigate in low visibility and at night.

Thank you so much. I’m interested in learning map reading but I don’t know where to find the right map or Ik for me…any suggestions. Where did you get your book from?
@TheBushcraftPadawan3 жыл бұрын
+Shana Smith What country are you operating in? Trying searching for the national mapping service for that country. Here in the UK it's the Ordnance Survey, but of course that will vary from country to country.
