I'm 17 and ever since when I was a little the reason why I love praying and reading Qur'an (alhamdulillah) because of Allah and because my mom used to recite the whole juz of the Qur'an when she was still carrying me during her pregnancy. Perhaps thats a little tip for those mothers out there 😊

Another tip is to make Islam part of the family culture. My mom used to read to me about the Prophets’ lives as my bedtime stories and have Quran play in the car or on the radio in the kitchen as she cooked. This made me have fond memories related to the Quran because it was tied to so many sentimental things and established Islamic basics for me because of the bedtime stories.

so true some parents didn't care to teach their kids at age 7 but when they reach 15 years old and older they see their children on the wrong path and they start going crazy. In first place teaching children at age seven as the prophet Muhammad pbuh told Muslims to do

Karim Nazari Did you pray together regularly? Or did you go to the masjid and expected her to pray alone home? Look back at how you brought her up. Kids need guiding. Like literally doing the act together. Taking them by the hands and doing it together.

Be a role model for her Karim. If you and her mother are on routine on of Namaz and Islamic values, she will eventually turn into deen and be a practicing Muslim. The constant reminder of our mistakes makes us regret and change for good. Also show interest in her things too. So it will be interactive and a friendly relationship instead of one way master and slave feeling.

I guess you should motivate her to do the right things. Like if you work all the time, maybe take days off to stay with her and have fun. Make scenarios of good things and bad things and see what she thinks of them; then later discuss about it together. Talk to her as much as you can, so that later when she's all grown up, you and her won't feel awkward when talking. My point is to motivate her through different ways, but think about your decisions carefully as well. I don't know if that helped but I'll make dua for her.

Honestly, in order for your children to love praying and to love the quran. It something that you should teach them as they are young toddlers and get them to start then. So it becomes a natural part of life to them.

Making habits is incredibly important! I have read that it takes around 66 days to make a habit (before you need to fight with yourself to achieve a thing). Praying with your kid 5 times a day, encouraging them to do it helps them to keep it up once they grow up because thats something they have always been doing then rather that a new thing they have to get used to

Siddiqa Hasham. Salaam my niece, , with a such beautiful name as Siddiqa you shouldn’t be crying, Inshaa’Allah Allah SWT will make your affairs easy. Remember, this is a test and is it a case that, my nephew has “ stopped praying” or the case that Allah has taken away the ability to stand before Him SWT in prayer! Please remember that Emaan increases and decreases, but as a spouse we need to keep calm, pray for him and keep communicating and remain supportive whilst seeking help from the local Imam. I ask Allah SWT to make things easy for you both and restore my nephews ability to worship Him SWT in the best way possible, Aameen.

I think it's important to ask him why and how he came to his decision. You have to understand where he's coming from and then from there on you can educate him and guide him with proofs from the deen. You yourself must be strong in your deen though.

Quran: And in no way did I create the jinn and humankind except to worship Me. 51:56 The word for worship is Ibadah. Its such a shame that I see lots of parents who have moulded Islam into praying. Ibadah is so much more than that. The parents need to live Islam and the children will see the values of the way of life. Not just get them to do things out of habit because there will be no love attached to it. We have internalised Islam and this will lead to our destruction as a society as we would not care about our neighbour.
