I've tried it. The medium brown parts of my hair picked up the colour, but it was distorted (pink turned to maroon). The dark brown (but not black) parts of my hair didn't pick up colour at all. Hope this helps!

They didn't have pink, so I bought the purple and it arrived tonight. I used it on my color treated hair (blonde) and left it on for 4 minutes with no results. It didn't take at all. I will try it again on dry hair and leave it on longer to see if it works. I hope it works since I have a section of my hair that I have professionally colored (fuchsia) and wanted to try something that I can keep my color bright. fashiontoppings I have died hair too and wanted something to freshen it up I got a shampoo which will color it wet and if you leave it in dry it basically redoes the color. The brand is Celeb Luxury colorwash, it comes in purple,pink,teal, blue and many more. This really works for me and I think it is worth the price. Awesome the pink was fun on you. Just one thing though, one does not have to go as harsh as using a bleach wash. You can just get malibu ddl and it lifts all direct dye without damage. (even vivids!) Look into it, its awesome! :)

I bought it and I used it and omg it was so pink and I was so in love and so so sad that I had to go back to blonde for work after the weekend was up. Bicarbonate of soda with 10 vol, paste on and within 10 mins any residue will be out. I use this after using having pink hair using a manic panic type of colour. I only use the bicarbonate after the colour has faded and I'm left with a slight pink tint it brings up my blonde back to bright.

Yes April. I have light blonde hair and black underneath. I used it on my dry blonde hair and left it on for 20 minutes and I still have pink in my hair after a month washing every other day( using the red). I was going for a BRIGHT red that faded into pink and didn't mind if it stayed pastel pink for a long time. I love it. I recommend trying a little strand in the shower watered down. My hair takes color very easily. I also think the purple color would be less scary for those not as crazy as I am. lol Good luck. Please let me know if you try it!

I bought this on this recommendation and did the strand test on the wet hair like she said and left it on for 5 minutes...NOTHING happened. I have very long virgin honey blonde hair (which is thick and pin straight and doesnt take to anything) and wanted to do something fun. So i decided to go big or go home and applied it all over my head to DRY hair and left it on for ~45 mins (had to use almost the whole tube for my long thick hair), then rinsed with cold water. Only then did i have a result looking like Sylvia's. It was patchy but i loved it the more it faded, it became pastel-like. The pink lasted well for around 2 weeks, after that i had areas that remained pink (the nape of my neck and the very top of my hair, where bangs would be). I wash my hair every other day, and it's now over a month later and i still have a hint of pink at the top of my head. Be warned, this does not wash out completely.

why can't you just use the heavily diluting direct dye? honestly I think it would look a lot less patchy, and would do the same thing. I personally I've had pink and blue hair for many years now. I think you could achieve the same effect with just diluting regular direct semi-permanent hair colors as well.

I just did this, my hair is medium redish/golden brown with caramel highlights. I used the purple and left it on for more than 10 min, it did change my hair but it is definately not pink or bight purple. It looks nice but its not wild at all. also I do have like 10% grey and it did nothing for my grey hair.

+merlalia like I mentioned - this is definitely meant for light hair. I hope it turned out alright? A thing to keep in mind, like I mentioned, is that it won't make your hair lighter than it already is, just a different shade.

+ellebangs Yes, I knew that my hair would not turn out like yours did, I was just leaving a comment for ppl who were still unsure :) I was however hoping my grey hair would have taken the color, imagine, i would never have to dye my hair again! But that was wishful thinking, I really am too young to have the the grey that I do so it could have been an awesome fix! I do like how it turned out, some of my highlights are a dark violet and my hair over all is darker, its just a lot more subtle than yours, and will be doing it often :) Thanks for a great video!!

So my hair is super porous from bleaching over time, if the color were to stain/hold on too long, would a bleach wash be the only way to pull that color? Or is there anything else I could try first? Also, how porous is your hair? For a frame of reference on the wash out time

Silvia, I absolutely admire your videos, they are so very informative and practical. I've been watching your tutorials since 2013, and always find something interesting that I can incorporate into my hair care routines. Lately, I've been looking for advice on how to get temporary lowlights in darker blond hue for my bleached blond hair. Can you please give me an idea which hair color product to use, so the highlights will wash out in a 4 - 6 shampoos completely, in case I don't like them. For my normal bleaching I use Clairol Pure White 20 volume creme developer, 7 Stage Lightning activators and 7 stage bleach creme hair lightener. My current hair color is somewhat warmer straw blond, meaning there is some brassiness, but I like it that way.

The pink looks super cool on you! I see that they have this in neutral shades (like browns and reds). I'm blonde but would love to just try out being a brunette temporarily for a week or two (just to see if it suits me), without doing permanent color. It says the brown shades are for enriching color if you're already brunette. Would it work to try it on bleach blonde hair (to be a temporary brunette)? Or just muddy up my color?

Be careful, some offers sign you up to a monthly plan where you are auto-charged every month for a bundle of products...I found out the hard way but don't recall seeing the fineprint informing me although it must have been there somewhere. First time buying from them and it was very unexpected. Also, I would not recommend the copper or red neutraliser- neither of these made any visible difference for me. The red was good though.

With the products from esalon what do you suggest for me. I have bleach blond highlights, I have dry ends, well water, thick, curly/wavy frizzy hair, I get very brassy. I was thinking the purple toning conditioner that they sell I was looking at a purple tone conditioner from another brand but it's around $60! I was definitely thinking that the split end product would be good because I wanted to try the living proof one. I do blow dry my hair, flatiron, curl and was thinking the blow dry cream? What do you suggest for the shampoo and conditioner? Also any other styling products from them? I've seen a lot of people on KZbin suggesting this brand but I trust you more!😘

I know I'm not her, but I personally have blonde hair and well water too. I use Shimmer Lights Shampoo that about twice a week I will leave on dry hair for about 10-15 minutes and then I'll rinse out like normal. It will usually help tone the brass. I think she actually has a video about it too! Hope that helped a little.

alissa_erin I can't use that brand it will make my hair straw, it would literally make my hair fall out it was way too drying! I use Joico, AG, Rusk, and have tried most of them except esalon! Thanks though for suggesting that brand, I just can't use that brand it doesn't work for me at all. At one point back in the day, I'm talking 16 years ago I had used that brand but since I have a cosmetology license now I won't ever go back!
