I managed to get the eyes of Innocence off of Hyena cubs. There's a path that leads above and around the Darfari camp at Skulker's End that has a few of those roaming around without the parents. Easier to kill when they haven't seen anything get killed in their range.

There have been a few reports of quest stages bugging out for him, for some reason. I'm not sure how you fix that unfortunately though, unless you refresh the session or if your on a server, hoping a restart does it.
