Why does a lut not belong in a tutorial video????
@gamger5583
@gamger5583 2 жыл бұрын
@@kyrahirsch4367 because a tutorial is all about giving you the knowledge to get from Point A to Point B. Because a LUT effectively skips a whole bunch of steps, unless the tutorial provides a link to the LUT or is "how to apply a LUT," then it really fails to be a tutorial. Same goes for Plug-ins, in my book. If someone has a plug-in in their video, they had better explicitly state so in their title. @Waqas Qazi another excellent tutorial.

I rarely put comment under videos, usually i just click the like/subscribe button, but in this case I had to make the exception: this is one of the best, if not the best grading tutorial I ever watched (only Chuck watched entire youtube twice so only he would know if this is the best - and probably he could do it better :) )

Very comprehensive tutorial that deserves a lot of respect and really teaches people to rescue a botched shot. Because what one needs to realize is that the joker look is not "faked" like this here, it has been filmed. So the most important thing you need to learn to do as a color graded is to be part of pre-production and tie yourself to a DOP to get the right look from the get-go. The shot used here lacks the depth, the multi shade light , the clarity and the other masterwork a good DOP provides to make the colorists life easier. But yeah, the techniques used to come close are very well explained...well done :)

wow, that's a great one! I was looking for a tutorial about skin processing (I'm learning grading on DaVinci by myself), and it's probably one of the best ones so far. Thanks for this great job, I'm gonna watch it again and again while working on some clips on my main screen. Cheers from France and big up!
