Trying to wash my gear but almost all of them say to air dry, how do I reactivate my clothes if it says to not dry?

Does Sitka use UV brighteners in their clothing?

Well animals can see uv light, so i don't think they use uv brighteners. And it probably isn't wise to wash them with a detergent that has any kind of brighteners.

Not sure which GoreTex they’re talking about here. I picked up the Jetstream last year, which is GoreTex so I figured it’s good for rain. Nope, practically useless in the PNW. I was soaked within minutes. The jacket that actually protects against rain is $600+

I have the thunderhead jacket that is waterproof. I hunt in the PNW and it’s totally dry it’s 350$. I believe the jet stream in goretex infinuim so it’s wind proof not water proof

Goretex is a family of fabrics, mostly generically referring to the waterproof variants, but your jacket has goretex infinium which is a wind stopper, not water. It does have a durable water repellent on the face fabrics but that can soak out and then you’re done. Watch the video again and spray on some more DWR and it should give you some more time in the rain.

@@josephskulj8643 Somewhat, however, their website shows the water protection as 4/5..Since its practically a synthetic sweatshirt, I don't think 4/5 is an accurate rating. more like 2/5.

Yea sadly you got the wrong jacket for water proofing. Yours has windstopper only which is not waterproof at all. It just windproof. Great jacket for wind and cold but you'd need the dewpoint or thunder head jacket if you want waterproof

Sitka first needs to personally learn to care for all there customers especially Canadian ones in specific. You couldn’t order to canada direct to consumer until now.. and now when you do sitka tells you the customer has the responsibility to pay for duties and brokerage fees.. seriously! For one garment is 500$+ Canadian dollars here you make so much money cover the fees! This is the reason why I order from firstlite and will continue to do so, if I buy a pair for corrugate foundry pant which is similar to sitkas timerline pant.. it’s 330$ Canadian shipped! Tax in with firstlite covering all duties! Sitka needs to take a page out of firstlite book, this is why all the big guys like Jeff sturgis from whitetail habitats dropping sitka and going first lite, no customer care.

Get a PO box in buffalo and ship it there. No issue driving back and wear it across border.
