I used the large room reverb to-day after finding the factory default settings in the video, I see a few of the values change between med, large room, church hall, cathedral. 5 values change between med and large. The large gave me just enough effect to "undeaden" the room, it seems about what the iMovie which I used for years until this month for all my videos had for the "large room" reverb, but I never saw the background settings in there for what made the iMovie "large room" effect. Now that I'm on Linux for my daily user, with kdenlive those number values all show up

I need to hear the reverb in my headphones WHILE I'm recording. This is very important. How can I make this happen??
@MikeRussell5 ай бұрын
To hear reverb in your headphones while recording in Audacity, you can use "Software Monitoring" feature in your audio interface settings if available, or consider using a plugin with real-time monitoring capabilities to achieve the desired effect.
@LisaMurphy5 ай бұрын
@@MikeRussell Thanks for answering! "software monitoring" is found in the Audacity program or would that be found on my computer?

@@MikeRussell So I just updated to the latest version of Audacity and now nothing's working. It offers a real time effects now, but it does not work at all. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to find another audio mixing program. I've never liked Audacity.

Am I able to use this while live on twitch? I really want some reverb
@MikeRussell5 ай бұрын
Yes, you can apply the reverb effect in real-time using software like OBS Studio with VST plugins for a live Twitch stream!

Possible to use the reverb tool to make a sound sound like its a coming from far away preferably outdoors?
@MikeRussell7 ай бұрын
Absolutely! You can simulate a sound coming from far away, outdoors by adjusting the reverb settings in Audacity to give it a spacious and distant feel.

Great explanation, thanks. But what about the reverse, i.e. removing the reverb and making the sound of the voice sharper? How do you do that?
@MikeRussell4 ай бұрын
I'm glad you found the explanation helpful! To remove reverb and make the voice sound sharper in Audacity, you can use the "Noise Reduction" or "Equalization" tools to target and reduce the frequencies that contribute to the reverberation effect!
@gunnarMyTube Жыл бұрын
Thanks it helped me with an iPhone ringtone. In that case in Audacity by extending the audio file with enough silence at the end (Generate->Silence) made space for a period of reverb from an initial alarm tone.

i tried the settings but for me the reverb comes to the left more than to the right so can u please help room size 85 pre delay 10 reverbance 50 damping 50 low tone 100 high tone 70 both wet and dry gain -1 stereo width 0
@MikeRussell10 ай бұрын
It sounds like your reverb effect may be imbalanced due to the stereo width setting being at 0. Try adjusting it slightly to the right to centre the effect and create a more balanced spatial sound.
