Super cool video! It's amazing how fast people were able to find this ending. I also like the implication that Elster found these frequencies. She probably had lived through that time loop thousands of times before she would think to try something like this. Really makes her finally having her resolution in the artifact ending that much more poignant

Thank you for providing the wav files ! I tried to "sstv decode" the first secret blips by holding my mac in front of my tv, but my ps4 was making the sound of an airplane taking of and made it impossible (I tried for 2 hours 😅). I will now find the frequencies and decode them "as if" I did it directly from my tv.

Thanks a lot! Your video doesn't solve it but give a much needed hint of where i need to look. Exactly what i needed. Because i walk all the third floor with 64khz frequency wondering "What am i missing?" P.S. By the way do you have any thoughts about locked toilet cabinet on second floor? Is there any way to open it? Because i tried a different frequences and shooting at it but it didn't help.

Regarding the toilet, no idea! Maybe it's a reference to the trope of locked bathroom stalls in videogames just to induce fear to the player? I don't know if Silent Hill made this (Haven't played them). Maybe there's something, maybe not.

Hello, great video. I wanted to do this ending by myself, except the part of learning how, because this is so cool. But how do you get the frequencies? is it just by checking the radio? or do you get hints on the cinematics or documents or letters? I also tried to set it to listen to my device but it does not work :p i guess ill have to skip using that program

Yeah, no clues, the frequencies are just there and if you happen to know how these kind of codificationa sound, you'd know you should use a SSTV decoder to see what image is hidden in the transmission

I heard one of these signals by chance while olaying with the radio, but didn’t know they were SSTV signals 😅. Really neat how they did this. Though I do think they should have hinted to the SSTV and what frequencies you need to listen to. What’s the point of having an alternate ending if one man can not find it on its own?

How did you figure out which room/radio frequency to get the images from?

I didn't do it myself, this was thanks to some people from the community. All of this started in the reddit thread in the description, a person found by chance a SSTV signal while playing (they happened to know how they sound and how to decode them) and made the thread about it. Then, people in Steam (again, in the description) that were discussing endings and such, mentioned the Reddit thread and they started going through the game looking for more signals to check if they were linked to a secret 4th ending, they were all discovered by just tunning the radio almost everywhere and to every frequency. And for what we can see, it was meant to be found by chance, there are no clues pointing to frequencies 64.000, 96.000 and 240.000 in the game as far as I know.

I can't found these signals in my receiver. Is they only appear after completing the game once?

No. They all appear from game 1. You have to be in the rooms I show in the video. Unless this was patched, they should be there

another thing is that secret ending can only be achieved after you have beaten the game once.
