Does the post office enter your from and to information in their computer when you buy the pre-paid envelope? Or you just get an empty label and fill it at home?

Thank you so much for making this. I've graduated from a HS school overseas on a US Army Base in Germany over a decade ago(DoDEA Schools) and unfortunately all my documents have been destroyed. My problem has been I'm working to get that stuff replaced for a new job I'm getting. But to start their is nobody to talk from their office do to the lock downs and there is not much I can go off of as to what the correct process in correspondence with what department has on their website. It says verbatim: "what to include when you request authentication by mail. 1.) Include Filled out Document for Request Application 2.) Money Order for Application Fee 3.) One Self- Addressed Pre-paid packet for return of your document." So after reading all that I'm wondering if I'm supposed to buy a priority express envelope to send the application request document and the money order fee to the office with a second pre-paid envelop inside the first envelope too. I think what's confusing me is whether or not the Pre-paid Self Addressed envelope is the the same as Priority mail envelope? I know its a lot to read but If you could answer this question for me and give me some advice I would be most appreciative.

The prepaid self adressed envelope is you buy either priority mail express envelope (more expensive but i prefer this one) or just priority mail in your nearby USPS post office & then the worker gonna give you the tracking number & stamps which u gonna put on this envelope u buy. And this envelope that already has stamps & tracking number on it you gonna put inside the envelope along with the documents u are sending. Make sure you keep the receipt and the tracking numbers of both the inside envelope & the envelope you are sending to whatever office. I hope this helps.

Oh and dont forget to write your address in the self adressed prepaid envelope. Your adress should be on the "to" section and the "from" is the adress of the office you are sending your documents to.

No its different tracking number for the empty envelope (different from the one you send your stuff adressed to the embassy if thats what u ask), you ask the worker for another tracking number to be put on the empty envelope so you can track it if the embassy its already sending your stuff.

Maybe if you could clarify , the flat rate envelope needs a stamp on it should be around 8.00 us dollars ,my question is the consulate sending your envelope to the Philippines and then mailing it back to you or are they sending it back to the consulate and then from consulate its mailed back to you any help would be appreciated ,this is the only part that i'm a little confused about thanks

Hey i used the prepaid envelope for replacing my old Indonesian passport here in the Indonesian embassy in USA. So i brought my prepaid envelope to my Indonesian embassy along with my documents & the embassy sent my new passport back in the prepaid envelope to my house.

Hello in my case I am applying to a visa for Algeria and have to send in my passport to another state (new York) and have it sent back. I am not familiar with mail stuff so if you could help me out that would be appreciated. The visa application says "Provide a Priority Mail Express return envelope." So when i put my passport and other documents in and address it to them will they send it back in the same envelope? and I can't get a return label they don't allow it with express priorty so how do they send it back to me once its sent to them is my question?

Hey you put your documents + pasport and go to ur post office to buy prioirty mail express envelope and ask them for the tracking number label and stamps to be put on the envelope (just tell the worker its for self return envelope) And on this envelope you put the "to" your home adress and the "from" is the adress of the Algeria embasy/consulat. And you put all of these (your pass, documents and the prirority mail envelope) in another envelope adressed to the embassy or consulat of Algeria. Dont forget to keep the copy of the tracking number you put in the return emvelope, so when they sent it you can track it. Hope i explain it good and it helps.

@@trevorandjoana thanks so much ! okay so just to be clear- I need 2 priority mail express envelopes? one that is self-return and has a tracking number label and stamps on it and NOTHING in* it yet that it is addressed as "to" my home address and "from" the consulate Algeria address on it and then I put that envelope and my passport and documents inside ANOTHER priority mail envelope addressed just to consulate of Algeria on outside like this: "from" my home address and "to" Algeria consulate address. is this correct what you mean to say? and the last question is will it be able to fit both if both envelopes they are the same size? should I get a bigger one to put the envelope and documents and passport in?

Yes thats what i meant. You should buy a bigger one to fit all that. Dont forget once again to keep both copy of the tracking numbers.
