Thank you so much for keeping your videos real. What I mean is in your videos when you paint a line that is not quite right you don't cut it out. Thus it is really helpful for us beginners to see that an accomplished artist still has things they need to correct in their work. I love the sound of both of these products and was intrigued by the touchup medium from one of your previous videos. From one of the comments the products seem unavailable in Australia but you seem to think they might be able to be order and have shipped down here. Please keep up the hard work and wonderful videos and stunning art work!

Hi Lisa. I really want to acquire these products, but i live in Denmark. This means the closest seller I've been able to find is Jackson's Art Supply in the UK. This would be great, except the Touch up Texture can only be shipped by road (hazardous material) which makes it very expensive to get it here. Is there an alternative to the Touch up Texture that I can use for mixing? Which can be acquired in Denmark.

Hi, Lisa! Do you have a recommendation for adding highlights when working with watercolor pencils?I love your videos! You not only create amazing art, you are an inspiring and effective teacher. I have learned so much just by watching your videos. When I think I am happy with the contrast in a piece, I remember how you speak of contrasts in your videos, and I increase the contrast. And because of your videos, I have experimented more with layering, blending, etc., and am so happy with the results! Thank you for your videos!

wow. i cant find words to say on that portrait and ive tried numerous attempts with white color pencils and it takes a very long time to get half way close to what that product does. Hi Lisa, thank you so much for all your tips! I'm delighted I found you today! :) I have a question. What is the best way to paint/draw fine lines over medium to dark coloured acrylics if I'm not very good getting fine lines with a brush? Maybe my brush is not suitable, what would you recommend? Alternatively, can I use a white pencil on acrylics? If so, which one would you recommend? And can I then go over it with a colour pencil to tone it down if it's too bright/make it sit in better with the bg colour? Or can use a light coloured pencil over the dark acrylics directly? In that case, should I use Faber Castell Polychromos colour pencils? Or should I use a gel pen? Is that thin?What would be the best method? Thank you so much!

This is exactly what I was looking for.. I've been having fits putting in high lights.. I'm big on using the lightest color for highlights without using WHITE.. but sometimes white is the best. Just as with shading I don't use black.. I use the darkest color possible but sometimes black is also best.

Hey Lisa, I actually sent a question through your website regarding this very subject some time ago and I ordered this product after you first mentioned it in the Lyra Polycolor review video. I really can't thank you enough for bringing this to my and everyone else's attention. Coloured pencil is my favourite medium and this pretty much makes it very easy to achieve what was a pain in the ass before. It's even useful in creating various textures by drawing over it. I have another question I'd like to ask you, if I submit it to your website what are the chances of you responding? I would imagine you get far more questions than you can answer.
@Lachri8 жыл бұрын
I just grab a question or two a week to answer, I'm not sure what the actual percentage of questions I get to are :)
@chrys92568 жыл бұрын
Maybe I can ask here then...My question is basically about how a professional finished coloured pencil drawing should look up close in terms of texture and shine. I've never actually seen one up close since where I live no professional artist seems to use coloured pencil. My work gets less and less grainy with practice but there's always that uneven shine all over the drawing that is more prominent with the oil based Polychromos. Do your drawings have that, if so do you just leave it at that or do you do something about it? Would you consider posting a high-res image of a detail from your work to show the texture or take a photo from an angle to show how it shines under a light?
@ediebluntzer51857 жыл бұрын

You explain but I wonder how acrylic is different from the creatix that you airbrush onto the backgrounds of some of your other colored pencil work. A little confused. Isn't this essentially the same issue of mixing water based media with oil/wax media?
