Just incase if it wasn't mentioned in the video... If you are going into trucking, get experience by working for the city, I don't know if this works but I otherwise never see "experience needed" job posts for public jobs.

Not to be pessimistic, but even volunteering now is becoming too competitive. I got 3 rejections from volunteering in developer roles, even though my profile isn’t half bad. It is getting more and more frustrating 😢

Are you applying for open volunteering positions? We recommend just handpicking companies, especially small ones and reaching out to them directly even if they don’t have any positions open. This way you’ll have less competition, but all the opportunity to make a lasting impression and get ahead.

I remember one day almost 35 years ago, exactly where I was, frustrated with the you need experience to get a job, but you need a job to get experience conundrum. You know what I did, I found an industry adjacent job. I wanted to be a programmer, even had some on the job experience, but no one was biting. So I got 2 consecutive jobs where my primary responsibility was something else, but my secondary responsibility was programming to support the first activity. 3rd job was finally full time programmer, title and all.

Hey, Ive been waiting 6 months for my open work permit to get renewed. I’m on implied status right now and my status expires in 3 weeks. What happens if my status expires in 3 weeks? Should I send another email to IRCC? I’m so nervous
