Wow, I can't get a chance or opporturnity to do work experience at a hospital let alone in another country!! Good work experience is dependant on "contacts" , which is not fair for the majority of medical applicants in deprived areas.

yeah ‘connections’ and ‘contacts’ really bothers… a bunch of girls in my class got work experience because of who they know and I got higher grades than them and i can’t find anything

As a college student, I can safely say I have no family in digital departments, no friends that I'm close enough to ask their parents and also no social skills to go out and talk to people so... welp, I'm screwed

Hiya! Thanks so much for the video it was super helpful .Say if I wanted to actually get some work experience during the summer , for example, what time frame would you say I should start looking for them . As in weeks or months?

If you're looking for this summer, I'd get asking them asap, as soon as a company opens their work experience applications then places are taken quite quickly. Try look for a week or two, as this is convenient for them but also enables you to try and gain as much experience as possible.

I am participating in NCS this year and so have decided not to take on work experience but I want to get a head start for work experience during sixth form especially in the first half term. So would you recommend looking towards the end of the summer or in September and closer to the half term?

+Gommiiee .O hmm it depends where you're looking to get a placement, as I said with something like medicine it's probably too late even for this year. With other areas I'd say try getting work experience at the end of summer as once you get into a levels you'll be loaded with work and want to focus on grades☺️

Hi there! I am indeed :') Don't worry lots of my friends only got 'Medically-related' work experience in year 12 and it's totally fine, as long as you have some sort of placement complete before the start of year 13 you should be fine.
