I turned on the debugging, but read out on my car says, ERROR USB. Can't get it to work on my new 2017 SUV with my Samsung Galaxy S4. Is there something else I can try? I did try a difference USB cord and got the same results????? What am I doing wrong?

@@HarryD227 Yes, I bought a different plug, from Walmart. Been working fine ever since. The first plug I bought, I bought from Dollar general, I guess the car just didn't like that plug.

It reads your downloaded music files. But this video (and your comment are old), after this android I think they removed the option to connect as storage device when I'm not mistaken. But I didn't need an app for my Pioneer, just plug and play but when it didnm't work on my S4 back then, I jut moved to USB stick. You could listen to what you stream, but then need a jack/jack cable.

You need to go to setting, about phone, then tap 'build' 7 times, developer setting will now be at bottom of settings menu when you go back.

I like wires, for headphones mainly. When you wrote that comment 5+ year ago you most likely didn't think audiojack and wired headphones would be gone that quick, but i'm one of those that likes to keep that wire, easy to put the end through one of hole things where your belt runs through and then to your device. And wires under your shirt so you have them double secured.

Go to settings and about phone. Then build number. Tap that 5 times fast to unlock developer option. Yeah I know a year later but maybe it will help someone 😂😂

I've got the same question, it seems the charging flash is showing on his phone in the video so I guess yes. It's probably limited to low power (0.8 - 1 A maybe).

What about auxiliary output to radios. In one of my trucks I have a JVC dvd player with no bluetooth or usb, just an auxiliary cable coming out. When i plug it in I get no sound. Headphones work fine just wont output through auxiliary. Is this phone outputting a certain audio codec my radio can't read???
