I've got a fridge magnet in the shape of a tube station roundel that says 'hold tight' on it .

Things I would have done as well is check the power supply to programmer , to boiler but then burner , check the pump and motorised valves are also on / off Correcty, a programmer that old I would change . Not sure just a plumber job , level 3 ? heating engineer?, everything else I would do the same but I'm surprised you didn't mention oftec or gas safe or g3 certificated before messing with the boilers or unvented cylinder. Unfortunately we find lots of problems with boiler and unvented installs done by plumbers.

I’ve always done DIY content (but then it’s easier as a plumber - I know Jordan well and he has rightly been worried about doing it in the electrical space) 👍

Moved into my house last year and had no hot water,turn out the mains gas was turned off by the estate agent(as it had been empty for a while)
