@@TheDisabilityDigest what I don’t understand is why the minimum isn’t at least a living wage. My friend applied. It took her four years to get approved and now she gets $700 a month. She lives in California. I don’t know anywhere you can live in California or even another state for $700 a month. $700 a month is insulting to disabled people. As soon as her parents die she will be homeless unless she can get section 8 which has a 10 year wait minimum in California. It boggles my mind why I never hear people talk about this. It like congratulations you are disabled and we will keep you in extreme poverty the rest of your life. I know you can’t fix this but maybe you could do a video on how they can up with the minimum dollar amounts.
