JUST SAW YOUR INTERVIEW ON THE PEA. came here and watched this video, subbed and liked. looked for the K1,K2,K3,K4 info you mentioned. many other topics but nothing on the k visas. i brought my Filipina here on a C1 on our way to COSTA RICA. we were married for 8 months at that time. i didnt have income other than a trust fund that was trickling in at just $1,000 a month. was to change planes in houston but they made us go through both immigration and customs and would have had to go back just to get on our flight. my step dad, the trustee had sent a email while we were traveling and said he was NOT going to do his job correctly , so i took my wife to a motel instead, since the trustee was going to steal over $36,000 from me and give to my siblings i was going to KILL EVERY DAMN ONE OF THEM!! LUCKILY FOR THEM MY WIFE TALKED ME OUT OF IT! so we ended up in south dakota and over 1 year later i hired a lawyer in the state the trust was in, and a immigration atty for adjusting my wifes status! . she is now a USA CITIZEN, she works as a nurses aid in the lowest paying state. SHE GOT HER BSN many years before i met he but never took the NCLEX , she will be taking it in about 4 months. she supports us as i get just $366 a month social security now that i got the cola. our 4 year old gets $235. my wife sends her family back home $400 a month and i help her shop for balakbyan box fillers. we sent $1,000 and also 2 boxes full of solar supplies, power banks etc... we lived off grid on 1 acre in a camper for 3 years. from 2016 to 2019. we collected rain water, burned wood, and had solar only. im a SURVIVALIST so i do everything myself and actually detest the ways of society. we have a friend who has visited the Philippines and proposed to a lady, that is why i mentioned the K1 VISAS. with a C1 you can NOT ADJUST STATUS if you came here on a cruise ship. A C1 visa if for TRANSITING through the USA. it is good for 6 yars and lets you stay for up to 30 days at a time when just stopping to change airplanes. it was easy to get in 2016 and there was nothing to prevent you from leaving the airport in houston BACK IN 2016! our plans were to do volunteer work and travel from COSTA RICA TO USA , via the workaway program. you do volunteer work for 3 days working just 1/2 a day in exchange for room and board for 5 to 7 days. that would allow us to travel and see lots of stuff and learn new things, while saving my money until i had enough so my wife could immigrate. i also would be close enough that it would be a short flight to USA if i needed medical treatment. im 65, our child is 5 and my wife is 35, big age gap but i couldnt beat her with a stick to make her leave me!!!!!

Wow, that is an amazing story. So many up and downs. South Dakota of all place. I lived in Montana and liked it. Her getting the BSN will help a lot. No big deal on the age difference. Very common here. Enjoy your life and son 🙏🙏

The overwhelming mojarity here can't afford it. But prior to ther pandemic, hundreds of thousands here visited the USA every year.

I have seen many large Filipino communities in the US. I hope the economy picks up here also. I just saw China is opening for international travel January 8-9. Look out Thailand, Cambodia, and Philippines. The travel demand will be huge

@@PaulWorldZoom There are over 4 million Filipinos permanently living in the USA. They aren't visiting. I'm hoping the Philippines does the same as the USA and put restrictions on China travel.

Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, citizen obey the law and work for a living . Not your typical left leaning voter . If they were they would be sending cruise ships to pick them up daily I believe. If they fly to Mexico or south America and cross our border and get caught they would probably deport them .

Hi Mike, I hope you had a good holiday. I just feel so strongly that people from those nations you mentioned would add so much to the US. I hope for an easier travel path for them.

My Pinay owns her home, free and clear. A two story new house in a gated subdivision in Talisay, which is a suburb of Cebu. She will have her Masters in Elementary Education in less than a month. She has had two bank accounts for several years. Her parents, siblings, and other family all live in the Cebu area. She knows no one in the US, (except me.) She'll be employed after graduation by a large international online ESL tutoring company. She'll likely land a teacher position at the school where she did her Masters internship. Our plan is to live in Philippines during the US winter, and tourist in the US during her summer break from school. I have already brought two Thai and one Pinay to the US on K1's or K2's.. I have no intention to do that again. We'll see if it works. Otherwise we'll just vacation in other places. Like Old Dog Paul did with Mae. They had a ball in Thailand.

Congratulations. That is fantastic . I she gets the teaching job. I have always found the US Visa process so frustrating. Thanks for commenting

It didn't work out with 3 ladies you brought to the US?

Are there published statistics showing the percentage of approved visas? Also, did you mention that the visa fee is non-refundable? BTW, even as US citizen traveling back to US is a major pain. Traveling to Europe and Turkey has been much more pleasant, shorter queues, more friendly immigration officers, no need to remove shoes/belt - overall much less stressful experience.

If they exist, my limited skills at searching couldn’t find them. I would also love to know that. Thanks for the comment
